thanks guys - yes, a must do for anyone

I thought it would be neat to show another side to the race as everyone knows what an Aston Martin Coupe or Peugeot 908 looks like. Friday is a great day since the pits open at 10 am and then the driver parade is at 6 pm. I really think there were more people in town for the parade this year. I got into a spot at the fence at approximately 4:15 - parade didn't start until 6 pm.

Rik - where was the Bentley 600 GT??? we left the parade at 7:30 to catch a train.

Really great pictures of LeMans. Have to do that some day. When lived in Fl. almost never missed the 24 hours of Daytona or the 12 of Sebring. Thanks again!

thanks all you guys for you comments - as for the car in photo 19 & 20 I honestly don't know, I guess I missed taking a photo of the name of the car as carried by the car preceeding it - Ok Mike - those were the Rusk girls (think they used to be the Hawaiian Tropic girls) - I'll see if Rik might know what that car is.

The car in the drivers parade pics 15 and 16 is a Tramontana R with its cockpit lid removed. The jet fighter style hood tilts open from the front pivot point when fitted.

Brought to you by the Tramontana Group, a small and independent auto maker, this car promises to get you off your boredom of Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Based on an open-wheel two-seater, the Tramontana R comes with a V12 5.5-Liter engine.

You can opt for the 550 horsepower machine or the 760 horsepower version. This auto has shed some 202 pounds and now weighs 2,777 pounds. At each corner of its slender body it boasts of 20-inch carbon fiber and magnesium wheels.

The Tramontana R has a carbon fiber interior which explains its lightness. It has an LCD instrument panel, chop-top steering wheel and a six-speed sequential gearbox. At a price tag of $495,000 buying this auto is no joke at all.

Tramontana will limit the production of the Tramontana R to only 12 units annually so the hefty price tag may as well be the price you have to pay for getting a sleek auto with a somehow limited production.

Pics #13 and #14 Also show a car with its canopy top removed. This one being a Caparo.
A British built supercar with its own fighter plane style canopy. Must be the in feature this year.
