OK But did you see my gold 330GT at the FCA concours in 2004?

It was fun to have this car there as the folks at the entrance to the 17mile drive would just wave you on and you could go to the place where the Pebble Beach cars were stored, etc.

I had the 330 with the San Francisco people parked at Laguna Seca track where we were to take parade laps at noon. This we could not do, because some idiot in the previous F1 demonstration ran his car off the tack and covered the track with oil. Does anyone have a photo that they can post that has this guy sitting in the tub of his F1 car with the entire nose torn off and almost all of his legs poking out?

I'll look back through my pics, I will start another thread for 2004 when this one runs its course. I went to LS FCA, LS MH, FCA Annual, CI, and PB.

Still have about 30 or 40 more, including some PB displays.
If this is becoming too long winded, please say so.
Otherwise, be happy to do the whole lot.

    Regards, Alberto

The "idiot" as you call him was Dutchman Fritz Kroymans. Official Ferrari dealer in Hilversum and then owner of a massive Ferrari classic car collection. The crash was in his 1999 F399 F1 chassis #193.
The below photos show the incident.

Yes, I referred to the post of "Lowell" (#52) who asked re 2004 (not 1994).
Yes, that F1 crash of Kroymans was in August 2004 at Laguna Seca.

    Texas!
I thought so because I saw it live, but memory is not what it used to be. I remember being in the pits and hearing a F1 car on the track. All us old farts turned into kids and rushed to see it. Hearing the old bangers is fun, but nothing matches the scream of a V12 F1 car.

    Now what was I doing...

I thought 2011 was also a special year at Pebble Beach when we had 21 GTOs lined up along the water front.
