On April 1, the day after the Georgia Tech show, the first of what is hoped will be an annual car show took place at the FedEx facility just east of the Atlanta airport, to support the March of Dimes. This show is patterned after the annual September show at UPS in Roswell to support the United Way. As with any first-time affair, there were a few issues that will need addressing, but on the whole it was a nice job and I was glad that I cruised down I-75 to do it.

There was an interesting group of mid-'30s Cadillacs and LaSalles, enormous cars with separate trunks, though most of them had been re-fitted with modern engines. An early-'40s Cadillac (with original engine) arrived a bit later.

Along with the expected horde of musclecars and customs were some unique items. These included a Jeep rat rod with a crude but effective tilt steering wheel (!), a Ford Anglia hot rod, another rod towing a baby version as a trailer, and a now-rarely-seen AMC Gremlin, with an appropriate passenger who brought his own sun-block! Motorcycles included one seemingly ridden by Captain America, and there was an old steam engine being used as an ice-cream churn.

I had meant to finish off this thread some time ago, but then my Internet service went kablooey. Now that I have a new ISP, I can continue on, with a few other interesting cars that were there. Several of these cars have appeared on these pages before.
