THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKIN' FOR A COUPLE YEARS AGO. I FINALLY GAVE UP AND GOT THE SAME IN THE 355.EVERYTHING I CAME ACROSS WAS NEGLECTED.YOUR IS OBVIOUSLY CHERRY!!! CONGRATS ON YOUR FIND!!! THE 355 WHEEELS LOOK AWESOME TOO. MY355 F-1 GTS
Perfect styling with the yellow/black steering-wheel and shift knob. Outstanding! That's a truly great look (now you just need to swap out the green A/C display for Yellow.
It wasn't quite a cherry...more like a diamond in the rough. It had aftermarket Kinesis wheels which really looked cheesy. Dingy floor mats, sticky interior parts, stupid looking Simpson racing belts, and an engine that had never had a 30K service! Even though it only has 24K miles on it, 16 years on the original belt, water pump, etc., was a little scary. So after about $8K, it's a cherry. But my basis in the car is still only $44K, so hopefully I will be OK.
<Stevie Wonder>Isn't she looovely? Isn't she beeauutifuul...?</Stevie Wonder> You're a reg'lar Ansel Adams with that there camera thingamabob - What time of day were those shots taken?
I took them about 10 a.m. The skies were overcast so there wasn't much glare. I use a Sony 5.1 Digital camera - this camera's a real gem.
Looks great! How long ago did you get it? I'm in the same boat, trying to ready mine. It has some nice performance from go, to stop & handling, but trying to make the visuals cherry as well. Again congrats!
Purchased Memorial Day. But I bought it sight-unseen. Had my mechanic, Robert Rodgers of Shade Tree Enginetrics, go through the car and give me a list of things it would need. He said it was a solid car overall, so I bought it. He basically went through the entire engine with all of the 30K stuff, and then some. I found out that a huge item with the 89-90 348s is the oil pump update. The original has some defects and you know what happens when the pump fails. I bought a used set of 355 rims and Robert refinished them to "new", and of course I had to put a set of Michelin PS2s on the rims.
Nice! Looks like the same parking space / camera angle from your previous red one. the color looks great on the 348. hope you enjoy many trouble free miles with it. BT
