I knew two pilots that flew the SP, one PAA and one UAL, and they loved it. They said that it was an overgrown fighter and one admitted to wanting to try a roll.

Taken during my rotary transition... This is flying back to HNL from Barbers Point where I went to practice autos. Recovery was back over Ford Island and the USS Arizona Memorial is visible at the mid-left of the photo. The oil streak in the water is Arizona bleeding as she has since she went down 07DEC41.
