Frankfurt to where? I've flown Lufthansa A380 three times and found each time to be fantastic. Flew on the 747-8i earlier this year and it pales dramatically to the A380. Airbus all the way.

Neat, love HHI, next time stop in Clemson for a visit. Which turboprop is that? TBM? I wonder if I have a pictures of it as I've seen some nice ones on the KHXD Signature ramp.

Gorgeous! I think KAND has good prices at 4.02 with crist blended in? I was told some don't have this. We're just 15 min away. We even have a nice cool, but somewhat gaseous place for overnight accommodations.

Wow that's $900 in my book. That about 167 miles and 40 min or so in your bird. Might be worth the up down up again.

Was recommended for unrestricted licence based on performance of final 2 days of flying navigation exercises.

Just a final check ride to go which is a formality that needs to be done and recorded, but passed already by the school.

Alex! You're short of the runway and drifting to the right! Looks like you are a bit high, too!

Just looking at the HUD so I could needle you a little. Neat display of your flight path! Not very familiar with all this new stuff. I used to watch for houses or alligator ponds that I recognized.

Oh yeah I wouldn't go off the HUD in this example..

I've been experimenting with a new camera that captures combined data and video.. the displays are GPS based so not very good for some parameters as the HUD shows.

The device is capable of hooking into "real" sensors in Garmin panels however and that should be realistic.

I've been trying a few different high tech tools such as this and the 3D stuff for self-debrief post flight.. but rest assured the flying is right back to the basics.. paper map and compass and confirm track by identifying features as you go... that's it!

Hey Bob, check out some online materials on what Foreflight (iPad app) can do. What you can do with an iPad and external GPS receiver is simply amazing.
