    I never drink Glenlivet. Back in the olden days, the Smith brothers ratted out all their scotch making rivals who were dodging the English tax. Have a hard time finding anybody in the Tain region who will drink Glenlivet. Brags about it right on the bottle.

    Engine performance is great as long as nothing else freezes up. Had an environmental valve freeze up at -10 F in NM in an F-111D in the olden days. Result was a full cold cockpit. Nothing cured it including all the tricks of turning the air source off, etc. Overflew Alamosa, CO where the temperature was -45 F on the ground, and we were at FL 250. Aborted because we were afraid aircraft commander would not be able to use feet if we stayed up longer. Swapped back and forth flying so one of us could keep hands warm. Autopilot inop due to cold in cockpit. Landed, opened canopy doors at -10F and it felt like a blast of spring air.

    Well, sort of the same airplane;) I'm sure it still has all the same flight characteristics of a Tri-Pacer, which means he will become a skilled pilot.

    Very cool! I'll never forget my first flights with my dad in a Piper Cub. Hope you're remembering to get pics and video for your kid to have for when he gets older!!! GoPro combined with the GoPro Quik app (for final product) make for super easy video compilations.

    Will- Looks like you had a really good time. T-28 was a lot like a WW-II fighter, even with tricycle gear. P-39s, P-63s, and P-38s all had it, though.
