Thnks guys. I've wanted a white on white car for some time. I think it'll look good. We'll see what the body shops say tomorrow...

PS, I love the wing. By far my fav of all the Esprit wings. Admittedly, it looks better in person and at certain angles. I think perspective has a lot to do with it. Its a much smaller car than it sometimes appears in picture.

Yes, I love that wing. Theres a guy that lives by my friend who drive a red Lotus. Same body style as yours, and let me tell you, its a beautiful car. He has black HRE wheels with a chrome lip, it looks awesome. Nice car you have there man.

Thank you. I was in the market for some HREs too... that was until my garage took a huge bite out of my "completely unnecessary and very expensive things" budget. Don't ask.

    Lovely s4!
What enhancement/effect are you hoping for? More "dramatic" - "cleaner"?

Clean..? Sure. I like to minimize the number of colors on my cars. As such, I'll be looking to paint my wheels, relpace the lights with the newer round style, and color match the rear diffuser from back to white. Trust me... :)

    Thanks Wax,

    Luke.

I like wings from the factory, but when people put wings on street cars they are not aero dynamicly tuned. I.E. for looks only "posers" Do you understand my point now?

It's stock. Check out the models through the years
    http://www.lotusespritworld.com/models.html
or, to observe the s4 pics and specs - here
    http://www.lotusespritworld.com/EModels/S4.html
See how well the s4 stacks up against other Esprits
    http://www.lotusespritworld.com/EBuying/which.html
or choose amongst many magazine articles

karmavore - Either white or left as-is would give cleanest look, as you already know. Personally, were that my desired effect, I'd leave it as-is, since white would tend to wash out the lines on the white Esprit. Were it another color - I don't know if that would be the case. Interesting, no? To give it an aggressive stance, I'd go black with unretouched lip - I don't feel it would distract, rather - enhance the symmetry of the s4..

Mojo - I think Lotus had "ricer" motivations when it designed most all the Esprit wings. I.e., they all pretty much allow function to follow form/I'm not sure they add much down force. But, in my opinion, the S4 wing (mine) looks the part more then the others.

WAX - I'm with you, but as I said I've always likeed a "white-out" car. My last was "blacked out", so this is a natural course anyway... :)

The Esprit is such a nice car. I like all the models from 95-up. I think if they come out with a new Esprit they should have Mille whatever design and build and F-1 type tranny.

    Don't do it!!!!!

Your car looks great exactly the way it is. Painted wheels cheapen the look, IMO.

    Luke....

The painted wheels would look great.....it's a good idea to resist the temptation to paint the entire wheel lip though....leave that part in silver like the pics or get it polished.

I like this monochromatic look....but it really only works IMHO on white cars for some reason.

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to go for it. I also think I'm going to have the whole wheel painted. Single piece wheels that have a polished lip and painted spokes look like they're trying to be two/three piece wheels and that, to me, looks cheap. We'll see, they can always be redone!

AJ - FYI.. I as just up at Flashback with Brian S. and they're going to do the work. Great looking shop. Who did the wheels on your Diablo?

I think it would look good with the O.Z. wheels from the v8 tt.
