((PIC)) 2005 BMW ///M3, what do you people think?

Had they gone that path with those front lights with the 7,5 and 6 they would of been much better recieved I think.

I like it, but I'm not a fan of the indent running from the badge to the windshield.

 

Hey Jimmy, the next generation M3 will be a 2006 model, not '05.

 

It wasn't designed by Kloos, Bangle and Hooydonk was it?

 

Wow I hope that article is on the money. Looks good, my buddy and fellow F-Chatter did a Euro Delivery on his 04 M3 and it will be here in July. I don't think the new M3 will arrive until 2006 at earliest.

 

It looks better than the new 5 series.
But I like the E46 better.

 

Am I alone in thinking that the new style only gets worse as it goes down the line? I think the new 7 was far superior to the old. (The old style seemed too stretched in for the 7) I thought the 5 was alright but the 3 series just seems to short for this new style IMO.

 

It looks too vertical IMO. For a car enthusiast whose interest in BMW's is waning fast, it's another nail in the coffin in many ways.

Although I guess that means that used current M3's will be more affordable.

 

I agree completely. Their designs lost my interest around 2001 or so.

 

Car does nothing for me. I had an 2002 M3 SMG that I liked the look of better than that picture. Thought the car was pretty good overall but could not live with that tinny exhaust sound. Tried two after-market exhaust and still did not like. I gave up waiting for BMW to decide if they were going to put a V8 in the M3 and went with a Maserati Spyder GT with Tubi and now it sounds like I am driving a real car

 

I like the current design (E46) however, the performance (400 hp V8) will determine it's success.

BTW, what is up with the buck tooth frontend look? We first seen it on the RX8, then the Audis, and now BMW?

 

I'm sure it's one hell of a perfomer, but the design doesn't do anything for me. Maybe when we get some official pics, but not right now.

 

V8, 400hp will be a huge success.
The body will take some getting use to.

But in the end, I think it will do just fine..

 

Thats a artists conception from months back, but mirrored and in lower resolution. I hope the real car ends up close to that, but I have my doubts.

You know what the swoopy front look reminded me of? - The new Toyota Solara Camry.

 

We got a BMW 2004 X5 4.4i a few months ago, and now I'm feeling about selling it because I don't in any way shape or form want to be associated with stuff that looks like that.

Please, bring back the old bimmers. Please?

What a shame. BMW has really lost their way. Thank goodness there are other choices in the world......
