What is your favorite styling detail on any Ferrari? Choose only 1. For example: The slight impression that runs the perimeter of a 365 GTB/4. Or the ducktail at the back of a 250 GTO.

Remember that one feature can come from a car that isn't particularly pretty as a whole.

My favorite part of any Ferrari is where the rear buttress on a 246 slowly falls to meet the rising rear haunch over the wheel well. Bellissimo!

Arguably the best known styling cue of any Ferrari, whether on Dino, 308, 328, 288, or F40. The shape may slightly vary on the different models,
but I think it was definately identifiable as Ferrari. Even more so than the TR side strakes.

this is a good choice, but i would also have to go with the side strakes...that is vintage Ferrari

It's hard to argue with the air intake on the 246/308/328.

I'll cast a vote for the 328 fender line (runner-up goes to the similar 308 but the non-functional louvres interrupt the surface.) That drop down from the height over the front wheel to being "pinched in" below the windscreen has been copied (C6 Corvette, NSX, Pagani, etc.) but somehow never done with the same sense of proportion. The front fender of a 308/328 is an immensely complex shape.

As a secondary vote, the recessed quad tail lights tucked in beneath that subtle spoiler are signature Pininfarina. It reinforces the lowness of the car.

I have so many favorite Ferrari details...they're incalculable.

One that comes right to mind: The particular profile and angle of the exhaust system on the 330 2+2, 330GTC, and 275GTS, and the placement, size, and shape of the chrome tips...like four battleship guns.

These are a large part the aggressive visuals that are subtly incorporated into the look of these conservative-side models.

This did not happen by accident.

So true for the last 40 years, would have been nice to have seen it a little more pronounced on the 458.

I've gotta agree with the side scoops from the Dino and 308 etc. Also that .....oh, only pick one, okay then!

I like the curved rear window of berlinetta or GTS models of dino, 308, 328, 348, 355 models. That window shape is a work of art. Although probably not as aerodynamic the "hatchback" look of the later V8 cars, it is much more beautiful, in my opinion.

    Awesome garage.

That's all I need, to pull into my garage in a Ferrari and see my nickname lit up on the wall.

I'm surprised how few of the cars that people look to as design classics have been mentioned so far. Nothing about the 275, 365, or 250.

The wide body flares on the 288 GTO, man, if only they 308 had them, I'd be driving one right now!
