if investment is not a factor, then 458. Best sounding, best looking, most usable and fastest. If $ is a factor, then Scuderia.
Gosh very tough one... First one to go is the 599... Id then eliminate the 458. Scuderia manual it is for me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
F430 manual. More for the driver to do, even if you're at infinitesimally lower speeds than the others. If sound is an issue, stick an aftermarket exhaust on it to bolster/tune the noise to something more racy - not that the stock system is anything to sneer at in the first place. All the best, Andrew.
458 and the scud is a tough call but the 458 spider with race seats has it all for me and it's better looking
Hard to choose, but I'll go with the F430 Manual over the 599 F1. The Scuderia is too track focused for my wants and needs, and the 458 lacks the looks and personality of the earlier cars.
They are all great cars, but if I were buying for the long term 599 would be in last place. I like the looks of the 599 a lot but I think it will always be held back when compared to the F12 and later V12 cars because of the ongoing cost, maintenance and performance of the F1 transmission. The 458 would be in 3rd place. It is a great car, but so many were made and they are just too common now. It has been outdone in every performance category by they 488 and I think the 458 still has a lot of depreciation left given the high production numbers. It is also perhaps a bit too refined. It would be a close call between the Scud and the 430 gated manual, but ultimately I would go with the 430 manual. With the current direction sports cars are going with automatic transmissions, hybrids and even electric cars, in the future I feel the most engaging and involving cars are going to be the keepers for enthusiasts. When daily drivers, and even sports cars become electric or hybrid, for an enthusiast type car I want something that takes skill and involvement. The 430 manual is basically a less appreciated 911R, a manual transmission with a high revving naturally aspirated V8, in a car that is light and nimble. I really like the raw edge of the Scud, but for me the gated transmission is what makes the difference and the 430 manual the choice.
F430 manuals are hard to find. 458's are really easy in almost any color and configuration you can think of. that's the problem.
458. In a league of its own. A car Ferrari will never make again, nor get it as right. If purely driven by investment: Scuderia, with 458 close second (last NA). My 2 cents. Kind regards, Nuno.
Kind of surprised how little love the 599 gets. For me it was between it and the 430 Scuderia. 458 is the killer performance car but the production numbers bring it down ( I consider cost of ownership/depreciation) 430 stick would be cool though but not special other than last of the breed. 430 Scud may be too radical for the street but investment wise its probably the best. I voted 599. Production numbers, V-12 Enzo engine, top of the line in its day and I like the looks (if not love per the 458).
The 599 was my second choice behind the 430 manual, but I agree. It's an amazing car. If it was a 599 manual, it would have been my first choice by far, but they are very rare and expensive. Out of range for this comparison.
I voted with my wallet on this one, and then did the poll. 430 Spider, because of that combination of gearchange and handling and power. More fun than the Scuderia when you're not maxing out, Scuderia better on a track. Hard to resist the 458 which is a better car in so many ways, but they are quite common and DCT. 599 never rang my bell, too hyperactive to be a GT, too big and heavy to be a sports car. Great car, though.
