Back into a Cali as a daily driver. Picked up a gorgeous 2013 sight unseen. Thus arises two small issues.

    Please see the following pictures.

A piece of the button for the roof closing mechanism is not present and also note on the roof panel by the rear view mirror, the light diode in which I am pointing at is currently flashing non stop. During the day it is not noticeable, however at night I feel as though as I am walking down the Jersey Shore and being hammered with a laser show as the desire for cheap alcohol and women with daddy issues takes control.

Any idea on where to order the part for the roof mechanism? And any idea what is going on with the light diode? No CPU warnings are present.

    Thank you,

First of all, congratulations on your (returning) to a Cali30 as your DD. It's a great car.

Did you receive an owner's manual with your car? The flashing diode normally indicates an active anti-theft alarm. Not sure why yours if flashing nonstop. Try pressing the diode's button to turn off the alarm. Otherwise, it may be "confused" and you might try power cycling the car to clear it but you should thoroughly understand the caveats of power cycling the car before doing so - drop the driver door window.

As for the missing trim, inquire with the dealer parts department for replacement costs. If deemed exorbitant you might try to source one from a wrecker instead.

No sir, no books with this guy. Great local dealer, never had an issue until this vehicle. I will attempt to power cycle.

I kindly appreciate you taking the time to help.

You can download a PDF copy of the owner's manual from this website.

As for power cycling, make sure you understand the process involved and drop the driver side window beforehand. It's a frameless door and the glass can damage the door seal if you try to open the door without power as the door cannot unseal the window before you open it.

    Good luck!
