Found it in Pittsburgh at Autopalace Porsche. My wife and I drove it back to NJ this week. Thanks to a chat member for helping me find this car. Particulars:

    2000
    Tdf Blue
    Cuoio w/ blue carpets
    Quilted shelf and headliner
    Dark Blue dash and wheel
    Modular wheels
    Red calipers
    Shields
Tubi (I also received the factory mufflers)
    11700 miles
All original paint, books, tools, cover, All services up to date, clean PPI & Carfax, I had them put on 4 new S-02s

The 350 mile trip home was great fun and went without a hitch. I have included a few photos including my wife driving the 550 like a champ! She's a huge Ferrari tifosa.

I am looking forward to hooking up with fellow tifosi in central New Jersey.

But I'm Green - with envy.

I've had my 3.2 Mondial Cab for going on 18 months now and have driven it as my daily driver. The more I learn about the F Cars the more I think I really would enjoy the 550 if I ever sell my convertible.

    She's a beauty!

Take good care of her - one day I may call to see if you have tired of the experience!

Beautiful! Very similar in look to my own 550, except for the wheels. Exactly the same in sound, as you have a Tubi!

550s are amazing cars, you're in for a treat of monumental proportions. Drive it often! I've done 5000 miles in mine in 3 months and she hasn't missed a beat.

    Enjoy her in good health.

One of the great GT's :D They look mighty in person... I remember the first time 5-6 years ago when I saw one and thought... "That guy knows what he's up to" :D

That car, that color - in and out - are just superb. Great job.

I bet the 350 miles went quickly. I'm just getting immersed in the 550 lore... what did you trade for that car and how do you find the 550 compares? Would love to hear your first impressions. And to be thoroughly gross and prying, what price 'range' did you score that lovely car? If you'd prefer to NOT say or to PM me, I understand either way.

I have been looking since March and found many substandard cars. Amazing how some owners don't take care of their cars. I actually found the car through another Chat member who provided me a list of dealers with whom he had done business. Aaron Comstock is the GM at Autopalace Porsche in Pittsburgh. He had the car on consignment from a long time, multi-car client of his. I cannot say enough positive things about Aaron and would do business with him again and refer business to him in a heartbeat. Aaron really worked to get the car ready and to structure the deal properly. I was much more comfortable buying through a dealer as well.

How true. I've seen about 25 Maranellos over the past 3 months and a lot of them were very poor looking. A fellow F-chatter is looking for a Diablo and went to Germany to look at a car. It was one of the very last 6.0VTs built, from 2001. Turns out it's been used as a sign for the garage and has been standing in snow, rain, hail etc. for the past 3 years!!! Paint looked worse than on a barnfind. How can these people not care?

Great that you have confidence in your car, it's a great feeling to know you've bought a good one.

    Mark,

Absolutely gorgeous. I love that rear 3/4 pic; simple but really shows the rear flanks. Enjoy!

Thanks to all for your good wishes. It rained here yesterday so I was anxious for a drive today. I took her out for a couple of hours and roared around the farm roads in eastern Pennsylvania scaring the livestock and local citizens. There's nothing better.
