Has anyone gone to Italy to pick up their new Ferrari? If so...how was the experience, what can I expect?

Several friends of mine have done this with BMW's, ...and had only the best things to say.

    thanks

I had a good friend who had a Ferrari dealership in Southern Germany (Singen) from whom I purchased my first Ferrari (Modial Conv.) During a weekend trip to the factory in Italy, he explained that you have to be very careful about picking up a car from the Factory. You may be followed to your first hotel stay, and even if the hotel has a garage with security, your car could be gone in the morning. This even happens when club events are planned which include a factory tour. The only way to avoid the problem, is have some inside knowledge of where to stay.

    Good luck.
