Can't wait to experience this car. While it has "higher" mileage in the Ferrari world, I'm confident that it might just be one of the best "rebuilt" and "restored" 355s available today.

I wasn't in the market, and didn't think I'd ever buy a yellow car, but the more I looked at the pictures and the service records, the more excited I am about this car. I couldn't resist hitting the but it now button.

I've got a 3 hour ride home tomorrow, and I can't wait to get to know this beauty. Perhaps even better, is one of my best friends from grade school will be buying his first Ferrari (a 550) and hopefully, meeting me for the last leg of his drive from NYC.

I'll update this thread with pictures though the buying process and will document my ride home.

For now, here's a picture from the seller.

Not really. I enjoyed that car for 4 years, and was ready for a change.

    Who'd of thunk it?

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I've owned each of my prior two 355s for over 4 years each.

If I ever buy a GTB it would be yellow on black. I think the GTB looks best in yellow. I recall that there was a really nice yellow/black GTB for sale out of a Porsche dealer in Colorado for $49k about the same time I bought my car. I was thinking about it but I wanted a spider.

Luke, looks like there might be a couple of minor things to address interior wise and some labels missing in the engine bay. Also seem the car has OEM headers, whether original or replacement. Looking forward to the full report.

    That's now Robb's car.

Luke, I think that a yellow 355 Berlinetta with a challenge grill is one of the nicest looking combos out there. You just need challenge wheels to complete it :D.

    Uncalled for!!! :D

The headers were just rebuilt by QV London. The dash was recovered, and the interior plastics were sent to SNM. I will likely add the missing stickers and labels on the lateral panels.

Any idea where I can get a set? ;)

Welcome to the club! Yellow on black with challenge grill was the exact car I wanted and I was lucky enough to find one - and a '95 to boot. It had even higher mileage but also meant most of the issues were addressed. It does look unbelievably good with the challenge rims, imo. Where are you picking it up from?

Congrats! Did you specifically want to move back into a Berlinetta from the GTS or did that not have any bearing on your decision?

Congrats Luke! You should do the opposite of Junglist's car and put something like POS355ED on the license plate just to freak people out when you inevitably drive around together ;)

Sorry...I guess my question is, and please know that I'm not trying to be nosey...Why did you sell the two other cars in the first place? I know that there can be myriad reasons why one sells, but, chief, among these is often that any of these cars get "same ol', same ol" after awhile; not to the degree, of course, than say a Chevy Malibu would, but, nonetheless, this is often the reason why folks sell; i.e. they want to try/experience something different. For many, it's a different model of Ferrari, or, taste aside, a different marque ;-)

You will now be on your 3rd 355, and it certainly is one of Ferraris all-time great street cars IMHO. Perhaps this is why you keep coming back? :)

    Respectfully and cordially,

    Scott
