Ok, quick poll, i am taking an old friend out to a Matchbox 20 concert tonight, long story short, she contacted me saying we should catch up-its been 5 years! lots has changed for me, as im sure it has for her, we dated a few times but it never got serious. She has no idea of my financal sucess, so do i show up in the Ferrari and blow her away (she is the sort of girl that will know exactly what sort of car it is, with out being told) or do i take my old 4x4, tidy car, but no F-car.

(Parking the F-car will be an issue, no real parking building's near the venue, so it will be on the side of the road, busy cafe area, well lit, should be fine.......)

    Opnions needed!

Well in my humble opinion i think that there is nothing wrong with showing up in your f-car but you should not talk about it unless she asks. I think this way it will be obvious to her that you have gone on to become successful yet you have not become a 'show off'. This would leave the best impression. Good luck!

First: Bad parking and risking the 355 being hit or keyed because of a woman??? No way.

Second: She has to earn it to get to ride in a Ferrari. At this point, she's not "Ferrari worthy" yet.

    Just my opinion.

First of all---Matchbox 20? You sure you don't drive a Prius?:D Just the fact alone that there is no great parking would force me to drive the truck...Some drunk idiot comes out of the concert and falls into the Fcar...

Take the four-by........you will have more fun not worrying about the 355 and if this date goes well take the Ferrari next time.

I should add, this is 3-1/2 hours of driving, most of it in my car by myself, taking the 355 was not only intended to take the girl for a ride in a nice car, but to allow me to enjoy the drive up and back. The 4x4 will be ok to dive up and back, but it’s no F-car.

    :)

I would take the 4x4....Leave the 355 for a date, not a concert...

Sounds like you need to add a German sedan to your stable.

Take the 4x4 just in case the date goes REALLY good. It's got have more room in it than the 355.......just in case there's no hotels close by. ;)

Your not wrong! I NEED one bad, im in the market for a A4 or E46 BMW or C class but nothing has become avalable that ticks all the boxes. No rush, got 4 other toys to choose from, its just there classic's that dont really suit long open road trips, looking like its the 4x4 at this stage.

    Keep the poll running......:)

Take the 355. If the concerts / date turns out shabby at least you get to tear it up on the way back.

Have you left yet? Take the 4x4, or if it's that uncomfortable for a long drive, rent something cheap and quiet ... that way you can have a conversation during your drive. I like my F355, but it's not a cabin you can have a nice chat in without raising your voice.

p/s the Audi RS4 is the business. If you can get your paws on one, I highly recommend it! :D

Hopefully our New Zealand brother's 355 hood is getting a good butt-polishing as we speak. A parking lot works just as well as a moonlit veranda, IMHO. Who likes Bud light and ATV's???

just use the thing ... it's insured.

having said that, I personally would take the 4x4 just so she can be mildly surprised when she finally finds out you have the ferrari :)
