I am so glad to have gone to the first Grand Prix at the Circuit of the America's. The weekend was twice as good as I ever imagined it would be. Had great seats in Turn 12 top row through Ferrari Club of America, and a parking pass in lot H, a block from our seats. Had no traffic coming or going any of the 3 days. Perfect weather of 70 degress helped also.

I will start with the track itself. Amazing is all I can say. Great elevation changes, and you can see so much of the track from so many of the seating areas. From 12, I expect we saw at least 1/2 of the turns, and we were right where they decelerated from 190 to 30 in about 100 meters. Glad we brought earplugs and headphones. The first shots show our views from the Turn 12 Grandstands.

After Friday's practice sessions, we got to go on dryhole's coattails to the Aventador Roadster unveiling at the 4 Seasons. Great looking car !

Stayed at the bar for 2 hours taking in the scene, and the beautiful people.

    Sorry for the phone pics.

And to top that off, we also got to ride those same coattails to the Ferrari F12 auction party at a ranch 45 miles west of Austin. Beautiful spot, and the food and drink was top shelf.

Got the meet Marco Mattiacci, the President of Ferrari USA, as well as seeing Governor Rick Perry and Anita.

F12 went for $ 1,125 million, and the crowd loved the big numbers.

Then back to the 4 seasons for a nightcap.

Thanks you COTA for giving us this amazing track, and I will be back next year.

Back home to see grandson from NYC in for Thanksgiving, and then watch the race on Speed.

    Dream Weekend completed.

Great shots! Thanks for posting. I love that they called the incline Phil Hill. I think it's only appropriate that they call the tower Shelby Tower now.
