The first two pictures are after I rubbed the paint out a few times the last is as I bought it. Does anyone know the car? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is that a fibreglass car, Ed? Many were fitted with LH mirror only, as my VIN #22641, that's the correct one. You are missing the wheel liner, should not see gas tank like that.....check with TRutlands. It's fibreglass, even on steel cars. Looks very nice to my eye.....congrats again...PM sent on muffler shroud, looks like you do have an ANSA......should see burned outline of the logo on the tips, sometimes....
A minor quibble but front fender vents on North American cars are body color, until 1980 or so......are yours painted black, or anodized black? Should be black anodized, as the engine lid vents...... Looks like a "keeper' to me! Welcome to the club! Oh, and check the diagram in the Owner's manual, the amber turn/back up lenses are on the outboard side.....a common paint shop reassembly error. The DOT requirements call for them to be a minimum distance from the actual corner of the car.....be real careful if you move them cus' that old phenolic cracks like eggshells!
Thanks for the kind welcome and comments. It is a steel no cat car. I have the fender liner, it is out for cleaning and inspection of engine before timing belt change. I'm not driving it this way. My experienced Ferrari mechanic friend told me not to drive it until I change the belts. After reading the posts in here I have decided to take his advice. He also recommended G.T. Car Parts in Phoenix, Az. Their prices were lower than other places I checked. I'm going to put another mirror on it simply so I can see in that blind spot. I like looking at the car, it is like a piece of sculpture, but I really can't wait to drive it. I'm going to get to drive it on Miller Motorsports track.
