Thanks for the kind compliments. No merits for the car's condition, I just bought it. My only virtue is patience, I've been forced to conclude that, at least in this country, V12s are not as well maintained as V8s. No much credit either for the car's cleanliness, I simply went to the manual spray wash station, then dried it manually with a piece of suede (we call this deer skin in french). No waxing, no polish, just a quick clean-up of the wheels et voilà ! I'll work on the background landscape next time, I have a nice collection of pics of my 355 (http://www.ferrariforum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=736), I should be able to do better with the 550 now that i can carry a ladder in the trunk ;-)
... and another one ... This is the eastern part of Lake Geneva with the french & swiss alps in the background.
Ze-Shark - If memory serves me right, that view is DARN close to Montreaux, isn't it? How about some pictures of the shark outside Chillion? The still water, the fortress, the car... it'd be just stunning! -Daniel Image Unavailable, Please Login
what a beautiful Machine!! That is my Favorite Ferrari of all the later models. The 550 just has it right. the design is timeless and perfect for a GT. Only trouble for me is....I just can't afford one..damit..I hope my numbers come up in the lottery...
I love this pic! Can you send me a high resolution version of this pic? My email is [email protected]. Thanks!
Close enough, this is actually up in the wineyards on the Corniche before Vevey, a small town before Montreux (for Deep Purple fans, there is no A to Montreux). Château de Chillon is nearby, but the surroundings are a bit bland to take nice pictures. Thanks to all for the kind compliments.
Beautiful images, beautiful car. I have ordered my 575 in the same color. It will come in April or May. I was unsure about the color, but after seeing your pictures I'm sure I have the right color! Can't wait ... @ze_shark, do you have higher res images of pictures?
ze_shark (aka JC), Excellent shots of the 550, congratulations on your purchase. Ping me when you're around Zürich next and we can go for a 'play'! William, Your question regarding the best skiing in Switzerland: Klosters/Davos region. http://www.klosters.ch/ Other places that are excellent include Zermatt and St. Moritz but these are quite a trek from Zürich airport. If you're coming over to Klosters/Davos drop me line and I can help with hotels, directions etc. FYI: Your PM box is full, that's why I answered in ze's thread... -- Brian
...and to complete the answer: st. anton is in austria, vorarlberg. not that far away from switzerland though.
Have posted a very basic page and posted a couple of hires pics: http://homepage.hispeed.ch/Ze_Shark/
Shark: questa bella machina!!! Those angle shots would never show such dramatic lines in my black. Beautiful! --Dan
Tom: to view them, remove the extra '.jpg' at the end of the link for both. He's accidentally added them twice. --Dan
Thanks to you, and sorry about the bad link. My hard drive crashed today so I am on a loaner without any mean to correct it.
A couple of new pics. The first one has been tweaked, saturated colors and darkened to give depth. The second one is untouched, good thing that a small portable ladder fits in the trunk The third was also tweaked, desaturated to look more metallic and darkened. Hope you'll enjoy ... Hires versions (6mpix) available if someone helps me to find a place to host them.
