I haven't asked any of the owners but I guess there are some attractions: Cheaper than the real thing, you can specify it how you want, you don't have a load of historians shouting at you because you put on a hose clip that isn't the original specification...

I would understand if those replicas would be 10 or 15 % of the price than they are, but never for this price. as I know they sell for 1 million, but not know if US $ or GBP?

Oh yes, sure, this is all well known to me.
But how can you get the mags if they are not for sale on any newsstand and paid subscriptions are stolen every month?
(PS: please don't tell me that I should switch to digital. I am paper guy and collect such stuff.......).

The only time I had a magazine stolen for sure was when was I was in Modena for 6 months in 2006: I know two copies had been in the envelope but it arrived from the USA having been open with just one left. Who knows where the partial theft occurred.
Needless to say when nothing arrives you can't know what really happened...

    Same here.
I guess people into those are same kind of sad posers who buy and wear fake (brand name) clothing, watches, etc. and most of them seem rarely, if ever, volunteer to disclose (to innocent bystanders) their car/clothing/watch/etc is actually a fake/replica, while some seem to use more creative(?) or opaque references like a homage/recreation/tribute/etc.

Motorsport Magazine used to send me their issues in a white opaque bag with no markings, which made it harder to get stolen at the post office.

I do not have any digital magazines. Paper is real. You can hold it. Its what I am used to. To help limit post office theft you can use PO boxes instead of street boxes. This has helped a lot as most of the theft seemed to be from the last leg where they drove it around town and put it in the mailbox. Years ago there was a push to have your taxes sent by mail. One year they found a ton of tax returns in dumpsters because the route drivers tossed them to limit the amount of work at tax time.

Exactly. The system is so automated that rarely is mail touched by a human until it’s out for delivery. Even if that were not the case the distribution centers are so chaotic that I don’t think there’s an opportunity for anybody to look for car magazines among the millions of pieces of second class mail.

One of the advantages of small town life is that we know our postman and he knows us. He isn’t a mail thief.

An unmodified Ferrari 365GTB/4 looks sharp and beautiful. This car looks like it was hijacked by a group of pre-teens who've gone goth.

    Which facebook page ?
An original Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona is a beautiful and perfect car. So why modify it into a clown car ? Maybe a Camaro engine under the hood or something like that ?
