Gorgeous car! Very nicely done. Have you noticed any difference in feel with the new springs? I've been wondering how much stiffer the H&Rs are versus stock, but haven't gotten around to inquiring of H&R yet
It feels the same to me, maybe because i have not driven the car that much since the spring installation. Thanks again for the compliments guys!
Very nice shot! BTW, what focal length were you using? That's not your typical point and shoot or cellphone photograph (which are way less than 50mm).
Could not imaging a better looking 348 other than a challenge car. That sir, is gorgeous! Carry on. Robb
Again, not today but last Friday. I will not contest any fine or penalty I'm handed for skirting the rules. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Are those factory SS seats or aftermarket? The shoulder belt slots look different than the standard carbon SS seats I've seen. Beautiful example. Please continue to post pictures (current or otherwise).
It's not an SS so those are not SS seats. SS seats are completely different two piece seats with no shoulder belt cut outs so I'm not sure how you've seen some with different cut outs unless they were added later by chopping into the carbon. My car is one of the 45 factory built challenge cars and those are original challenge seats. Since the car was never raced, it retains all the original leather and carpet and the seats were recovered in matching leather by the previous owner. It has all of the challenge parts installed other than the front portion of the roll cage (it has the roll hoop only which bolts right into the factory challenge cars with no modification) and the emergency cut offs. There are more pics in the "My Garage" part of my profile. This car is essentially set up in the spirit of Ferrari's privateer comp cars from the 50's and 60's: made for both the street and the track and at equally at home on both. It's just about the most fun car I've ever driven.
Here are the seats. As I said, these are the original 348 OMP Challenge seats. The head rests have the correct embroidery and everything. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, Rob, but I have had it for a while. Your black TB is pretty special. You should be proud of it.
Jayson, love the wheels and stance. A more open 5 spoke modular - awesome. What do they weigh in at? My OZ Superleggera IIIs are a bit heavier than stock but 1 inch taller (18s front and rear) 8.5 front, 10.5 rear widths. The multi-spoke look is kinda cool and works with the linear strakes. They are modular too, but the 5 spoke style of your HREs is quintessential Ferrari. The OZs were designed for this car, up through the 360s and I am happy with mine, but I am curious about the weight.
Thanks John. Sorry but I'm not sure about the weight. HRE wheels were custom ordered by previous owner my best guess would be +/- 20lbs
