We've been having the most perfect summer evenings these last several days, great to get out in some of these sleepy old New England towns. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I got the engine out today on my 1995 F355 Spider.....thanks to all who posted their experiences with doing this on their cars and also props to Dave Lelonek for making his engine dolly plans available (Sorry Dave, I modified your plan a little bit so that I could use the dolly as a rolling table when I'm not dropping an engine). I'll post more photos as work progresses. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It doesn't look very modified but none the less I'm happy it worked out for you and others. Modifications are welcome
I made the receiving brackets on top removable. I welded 4" legs on the bottom of the brackets that slip into the four upright legs and also moved the upper crossbars level with the top of the uprights so that a steel top sits flat with the brackets removed. I'm thinking of making some other brackets and putting holes in the legs so I can adjust the bracket heights to suit. Regardless, your design was great as it was, and I appreciate you sharing it with the FerrariChat community. I'm now looking forward to using the cam locks I bought from you. Will let you know how it goes. BTW, attached is a photo of what was left of the alternator belt tightening pulley.....glad I did the engine out before it caused more problems! I drove to "Hawks Nest" outside of Port Jervis last week with my friend on a picture perfect NY summer day. Thank you to the guys at Braden for all the suspension work and installing my 360 steering wheel. Car handles fantastic. Also, at the Monticello Motor Club, my 355 got as many compliments as the 962. And these were compliments from guys who own the rarest supercars on the planet. Apparently, everyone loves the 355!
Possibly last drive with the PG3s :/ Hope the new owner enjoys them as much as I have. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login .
