100% From what I've been seeing sales figures out there, this would have been about 30% more in current market. I guess my FOMO was right for once.
This was actually a picture of the new 992 grocery getter and its new plate I just got today but the F355 is in there too! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Beautiful stable! Don't take this the wrong way, but I've always wondered why people personalize plates with the car model. What is the rationale? I've had personalized plates and love well placed humorous ones especially. I'm just curious about your choices (Clearly you aren't the only person that does this).
No offense taken at all! I can only answer for my reasons but basically it’s an aesthetic choice that maintains privacy. I like the black vintage CA plates a lot better than the standard white ones and since they have to be ordered specially so you might as well put something on there that has some significance rather than random letters and numbers. Choosing the car model (unlike something personal like your name, a pun on one’s profession or interests, etc) reveals nothing more about the car (and owner) than is already visible anyway. It’s a way to make an ugly appendage (a state mandated license plate with a bunch of random numbers) look as close to a manufacturer badge as possible and it says absolutely nothing about me. I am a fairly private person (have never had or understood social media for example) so it appeals to me.
