Bob, The front shock supports were modified so it needed an alignment. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/142261972-post32.html The car is good for a while now. My Challenge car is getting its tech inspection before next week's Watkins Glen event. Everything checked out OK. It gets a brake fluid change before each track event and an oil/filter change just after. Barry
Thanks. It was the first F355 Challenge and was prepared by Miller Motorcars in early 1995. It was the only F355 Challenge raced that year. The 1995 Ferrari Challenge manual/technical regulations just had a few pages referring to the F355 without mention of which side to place the rear tow hook. The 1996 manual showed the hook on the passenger side. Mine works just as well. When will yours be arriving?
Good to know the history. Makes the car much more interesting in my opinion. Mine should arrive this weekend.
Brake fluid changed, new slicks, Challenge alignment, tuned and ready for Watkins Glen... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That sure is purrdy. WG is a haul to get to. I used to do GTU at Lime Rock back in the 80's was a blst Have a great time???
Thanks, Tim. It will get trailered up to the Glen next week. It's a 4 1/2 hour trip each way and it's just a two-day event. I'll drive it up and back for the three-day Labor Day Weekend event. I can manage 1 1/2 hour shifts needing about a half an hour break to regain my senses. Barry
Is that a clutch cooler that I see in the rear of your car? I have the same. Is that a factory option? I bought my car that way.
Hi Ron, Yes, it's a clutch cooler ("heat shield"). It appears in the F355 Challenge manual/technical regulations along with instructions for creating vents in the clutch housing. Barry Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
