There was a good amount there, personal favorite was the Porsche Abarth, you NEVER see them around. Good to see one with racing history none the less

 

This weeks meet was the best I've ever seen at Brier Creek. There were at least 12 cars I have never seen one of before. 458, FF, Gallardo Superleggera, McLaren, M-B SLS convertible, 904 carerra GTS, A-M V12 Vantage, Buick GXS convertible and the new 911 along with the usual great examples.

I brought my 12 year old son and a colleague from China, who was totally amazed.

 

Yeah, what a great turnout! My son was very impressed that there were 10 Ferrari's in one place. It was great to meet some of you guys from the forum, and ride out there from Cary together. Although the Cary PD guy that was between me and the rest of the cars for the first half of the drive tried to spoil things by putting along at just under the speed limit and shooting his windshield cleaner all over my clean car, haha.

I was also very pleased to see a number of cars live for the first time... I heard there was a red LFA there early in the morning, but I didn't catch that one. Anyone else see it?

 

Yeah someone at Starbucks mentioned that a red LFA with dealer plates swung in, rev'd the engine for a bit, then took off. One of the 3 or whatever that are on the East coast so far.

 

I take it that was you that showed up just as we were leaving? I wanted to mention this to you when we were there; When we were all cruising over, on the highway I looked over and could see your son pointing at each of the Ferrari's and cars and you could see the excitement on his face, a very cool thing to see

 

Yes, we pulled up right when you guys were leaving VW. Had to fuel up on the way over, thus the delay. The kiddo is a lover of all things Ferrari, so yeah he was thrilled.

 

A very excellent meet-up. Hope the weather's great in May for the next one!
