    First some shots from Berlin.

    - the F1 was at Zurich airport
    - the Mini was used in 88 to help a citizen of East Germany leave the country: the woman was hidden INSIDE the co seat
    - Honecker's limo
    - Ferrari dealer had only 2 cars, one a 328
    - Skip at the Brandenburg gate :)

That last showroom with all the Ferraris and others is impressive. Kind of sad though to see those cars in a museum instead of on the road

That's the Technikmuseum in Sinsheim. Maybe somebody from Germany can comment, but I believe many of these cars are there "on loan". They had brochures which also showed an Enzo. I think some of these cars are just "stored" there.

I was particularly stunned to see a 250 GTO. Could it really be that one of the few owners doesn't want his car in his garage at home?

Just saw the thread title on the main site, thought I'd have a look, and I can help: Most of the cars in Sinsheim actually are on loan, at least those you'd expect to be driven, like the Enzo (which was there when I last visited the museum in 2006). Especially the very old or significant cars are owned by the museum.

The 250GTO is (as you would know if you had carefully read the info text :p) a rebody of another Ferrari, but IIRC by someone 'official' like Scaglietti, don't remember exactly!

Edit: The Jägermeister BMW 6 is constantly being advertised in car magazines for like 2 years, obviously the owner can't get rid of it.

@Pictures of the Berlin showroom: It looked exactly like that when I was in Berlin in May 2007. The 328 has like zero miles and they wanted an outrageous amount of money (120k+ €) for it, no wonder it's still standing there.

interesting to see so many IndyCars in collections in Germany.

I had completely forgotten about the McLaren/TAG/Porsche connection in the mid-80's, thanks for the reminder!
