Had a wonderful time today in louisville, weather was perfect and the turn out was pretty impressive esp for our first effort.I got to meet Rick,Stephen,Matt and Doug of F-chat to name few.
    We had:
    1)-3 ferraris (1-355 & 2-308's)
    2)-a Lambo Gallardo,
    3)-2 NSX,
    4)-6 porsches( 1-custom Protomotive AWD TTT,3-930 Turbos,1-Superchrged 993,a superchrged 996 and a 996 C4S)
    5)-a Turbo charged ///M3
    6)-one Miata
    7)-a single Turbo Mitsu eclipse
so we had about 15 cars altogether. We met in the parking lot of the Summit Shopping center where we left right on schedule ( 10.05 am ) for a 2 hour drive to the Captains Quarter. The drive was great but nothing like the afternoon drive where we had empty winding country roads to our selves..
Any way full credit goes to Matt for putting this thing together and hopefully we'll get to do this on regular basis..I think we all had a great time,no accidents,no tickets and believe it or not no body got lost either..
    Here are few picts ..enjoy.....

Thanks to everyone that made it out. It was great to meet others that are as passionate about their cars as I am. The afternoon drive was great!! We should plan on doing this monthly during the good weather months.

I will have pictures to post tomorrow.

A second 308(Scorpion from this board)showed up at lunch. Nice to meet everyone and attach faces to names. If it becomes regular, I am sure the numbers will grow. What was that funny looking yellow Italian thing that was slowing me down on the second half of the ride?:)

    Hello everyone,

I am a new member to this board, although a few of you met me yesterday in Louisville at the car meet. My name is Ryan and I was driving that little turbo Miata that was stuck to your rear bumper for much of the cruise!

Although I do not own a Ferrari or any real exotic car, I very much appreciate the opportunity I was given to take part in your gathering. I cannot begin to express how much fun I had in getting to know a few of you and, of course, driving on some perfect back roads in the company of some of the finest automobiles!!!

I am very surprised and impressed with everyone's enthusiam toward enjoying automobiles and your hospitality. I really look forward to participating on this forum and hopefully making the next meet.

    Thanks again,
    Ryan - Miata guy

Welcome to F-Chat Ryan...Turbo miata is not something we see every day atleast not in this part of the country and yeah i wondered how you kept up with us..bottom line is,it all boils down to being a car enthusiast,i am glad you didn't feel left out and looking forward to meeting you again....

Next time let us know about the meet on Louisvillestreets.com or email me. We were out the same day with 3 Lotuses and Porsche Carrera GT and a 350 modena spyder in that general neck of the woods but hadn't heard about it. Would love to come out next time.

PS, a well set up turbo miata would have some exotics having a hard time keeping up. :)

    Hey everyone,

-We've got all kinds of exotic cars in Louisville. There are 2 (maybe 3) Carrera GT's in town (1 red, 1 black), 2 SLR McLarens, a few Diablos and a host of F-Cars. There is a gentleman in town who just got a new yellow F430 Spider as well.

I hope everyone can continue their enthusiam for these kind of gatherings, and perhaps next time there will be an even greater showing of exotic cars.

Anyone thinking about going to the car show in Cinncinnatti this coming weekend?

    Ryan

There is a gray Carrera GT in downtown Dayton (john dixon), literally a block away from my high school, and I believe there's an orange one in Cincinnati. Red and black too? Those are my 2 favorite colors for the CGT, that is great news. Hopefully I'll be able to see them sometime. Ryan, pm richard_wallace, he is most likely going to the show and he usually gets a group of people together.

There are two types of car enthusiasts, one that likes to drive and talk about the cars and the second group likes to keep them covered in the garage. So what type of owners are these ?

One of the SLR's is daily driven. In fact I just saw it out last night.

The black CarreraGT is a weekend car. The gray Carrera is currently out of service.

I'm working on getting the gentleman with the Noble on Louisvillestreets.com to come out for a drive as well.

The new yellow Ferrari belongs to David B, and I'm not sure if he's been driving it or the Vipers lately.

We raced today and I believe I saw the slantnose from the pictures in this thread, in the paddock. Not racing, maybe spectating?

I haven't seen any of the cars at the track. Does the yellow Lamborghini run at Putnam?

The yellow G-car in those pics is from Indianapolis so I doubt it. Could be another one, or there is at least 1 yellow Diablo owner I know of in Dayton, Oh

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you,or maybe you 're confused as to where Putnam is? Putnam Park is right outside of Indy, which would make it very likely he's tracked there if he does in fact do hotlapping. :)

PS, didn't know this was an out of town car, I thought it was the yellow Lamborghini from Louisville. If many of these cars weren't even locals, the potential for a much larger meet in Louisville exists, if only the word can be spread. Thats why I was so disappointed to hear there was a meet, I wish I'd heard about it on one of the local boards, we could have rallied some troops! :)
