pictures of 348 before/after wheel spacers?

Before and after pics of my car with the rear Hill 25mm spacers.

I am sure I took pics from the rear also, 'stock width and 25mm width', but I can't seem to find those pics.

If I find them, I will post them up for you. My car is a 91 and these spacers really enhanced the rear end look of my car.

Here's a couple of pics of mine before and after. 25 mm rear and 15 mm front Hills best. It looks soooo much better and handles like a dream. The stance is also much better when its lowered a tad as well. I did that before I put on the spacers.

I never fit my front 15mm spacers, only ever fit the rear spacers.

That's one of those decisions that needs no debate-- the rear wheels look lost in the wheel wells without spacers and they look exactly right with wheel spacers. On top of that, the car handles better-- that's why the very late cars had the rear track increased by 2". It's literally the first "modification" I made to my '91 and I'd do it again. No downsides (other than the expense) but very noticeable upsides.

If you do get some and put them on yourself, make sure to put a thin coat of anti-seize on the inside surfaces so they'll be easier to remove when the brakes or axles need service. And clean the faces of the brake disc, along with the hub lip, to ensure that the spacers sit nice and flat to avoid vibration.

The ones that use longer lug bolts are the best version.

On average, what's the cost of parts and labor for the spacer job?

 

Buy these spacers from Ricambi and it takes 10 minutes per side to fit.

If you can afford to do it, definitely go with them mate.

I would say all our cars will have bolts that have some sort of damage on them seeing as they are 20+ years old now and the wheels have been on and off plenty of times.

Damage is not visible without the shadow machine, but it's only a little extra money and you will have peace of mind and the bolts will last another 20+ years or more.

Hill make excellent products and it's great having them on the forum and their products sold through Ricambi.

 

If it hasn't been mentioned, also consider buying a set of rear rims from a later model (94) that already had the wider offset. I found a full set, with tires, for about $600 a few years back. Doing this also lets you keep your old set on hand for when you get a flat; finding 348 sized tires locally is not easy.

And definitely go with properly sized Hill or OEM bolts, unless you really know the quality of another option. Wheel bolt failure is potentially catastrophic. No time to go cheap.
