The 8 Series is one of the greatest ever. Was one of the first exotics (yes it IS an exotic) that I ever got to ride in. I am very jealous sir. I'm not there quite yet.

    Looks - 10
    Engine (8 or 12) - 10
    Handling - Off the scale.
Cost of ownership - Worse than Ferrari evil, but who cares? See the above 3.

Have I lost my mind, or does that camera's date stamp read "day, month, year"? Isn't that... wrong?

No, you're reading it correctly, it's November 9th, 2006. ;)The car is still so modern looking and fast, it's still in the future! It will never look outdated. :D

The car looks wonderful steveirl. Enjoy it in great health. I'm jealous. :)

Wow, those pics make me miss my CSi.

What a great car it was. Jim Comfori sells a great chip for the ECUs.

That is the correct way to write it...from the smallest measure of time to the middle measurement to the largest...day-month-year-. The way most people in the USA write it is really jumbled... from the middle-month the the smallest-day then to the largest-year...how does that make sense?

Extrapolating on that then you would write the time as second then minute then hour? That's just crazy talk. Figures; from people that insist on driving on the incorrect side of the road. ;)

    siging off at 03:10:09 A.M. No wait it's 12:10:09 a.m. Uh 16:10:09 a.m. Ahh forget it.

Time still goes in a logical order though just in reverse... from largest=hour to middle=minute to smallest=second...to write time as the USA writes date 03:01:45 am would be written 01:45:03. Yet another reason to use the 24 hour method from 0001 hours to 2400 hours

Thanks Taffy, Im very happy with the car, paid top price but its really stunning, almost new and it drives even better than I expected, no similarity to the standard 850/840, much tighter and obviously a lot faster.

Not a shark!! I see you are a 928 fan Racerx, and I wouldnt blame you, Ive owned three of em in the past, and the last one I regret selling to this day, but I gotta say that the CSi is the first GT car I am happy with when comparing to the 928GTS.

I wonder how it would look with the current M6 wheels?

Steve, that is simply stunning. What great condition, you really did score.
You see prices all over the place for these in the states but I would think one in that condition would be $60k U.S.
    PS, I love the interior.

While trying to find some images on google to photoshop some M6 wheels onto the 8 series, I came across the real thing!

As much as I love the M6's styling, I have to say that the M6/8er combo doesnt exactly do it for me...

Agreed, the new M6 wheels don't match, but Alpina are PERFECT.

steveirl, that interior looks spotless. Wonderful combination, too. You really found a gem.
