Thought I would share this interesting find with everyone here. A 1989 928GT has turned up that has been stored since delivery. It has 312 miles and is factory mint in every way. For 928 nuts like me it is incredible to see something like this in showroom cleanliness.

One of the guys on the forum took a lot of nice photo's of it today and I thought you would like to check them out. The interior/exterior color combo is very nice. The GT has 330 hp/ 325tq and 5 speed.

As clean as mine is it is something to see an undercarriage that never saw water.

it's gorgeous, but i just shake my head and think "what a crime".

i'd be scared to crank the starter - who knows what rubber and plastic have disintegrated sitting for seventeen years.

    doody.

928...the ONLY Porsche I would ever consider owning. Say what you will, but I was never a fan of the 911, or all of its evolutions and variations.

I do like 928s, but correct me if I'm wrong, but this one appears to be GREEN. As far as I'm concerned, only very unreliable old british cars can be this type of color. 300 miles or no, its still green. Urgh

I thought you would like it doody. It has actually been well cared for with the engine being started regularly and the shop its at where these pics were taken has done the timing belt, which is the crucial part of the car.

But it is like a time machine and is priceless really to see what one was like fresh off the factory line. I had been in a now defunct porsche dealership located near BU back then and had seen one new in the showroom. Great memories.

Yes and green is rare for 928's.

There is one thing you don't have to worry about with 928's Dan, reliability and build quality. Short of the CGT, Porsche has not come close to the thought and materials that went into 928's.

This one has 300K worth of wear to go before needing an engine refresh. But i think its going back into mothballs in some collection.
