I thought I had a weird hobby of collecting my fallen off skull pieces and stacking them up in the closet. Now I don't feel so weird.

That's nasty. Who else read about the guy who was in a coma for 25 years and woke up because his brain was slowly repairing itself? It's no suprise to me that things like this happen more often, the human body is very comlex and over the years it evolves because cells find new ways of doing this, that, repairing itself, etc... and the word spreads around through transfer of information through cells. Wait until harmful bacteria finds a way around antibiotics.

I have seen the inside of many skulls in my time and I can tell you none of them looked like the inside of this guy's calvarium. They are generally smooth and may have the suture lines from the fusing of the fontanels in infancy and adolescence...but not a map of New Guniea.

 

When my skull falls apart, the pieces always look like pin-up girls.
