So for sometime now I've wanted an 848 Evo. I had been casually looking for a bike to purchase that fit the criteria I had - basically low miles, never been laid down, etc. My buddy shot me a link for a dealer listing an 848 Evo Corse SE on Craigslist, less than 3000 miles on it, never laid down, stock, etc. I had considered the Corse SE's before, but they had more track features on them than I really wanted. I saw this bike and was drooling. I called in, put a deposit on it and picked it up 2 days later. This bike is without a doubt the most fun, and best handling bike I have ever owned.

I have a fender tidy and an integrated taillight that still needs to go on it, I had the entire front wrapped in 3M clear bra 2 days ago and will be having the fairings wrapped next. Next spring I'll be going the Termignoni full exhaust as well as a tune I think... for now, the bike is enough! Few pictures over the last week:

Nice bike. What have been the reviews of this bike by the magazines?

I had read a number of reviews when the bike first came out and they were all positive!

Thanks! And no, no, this one was in a very surprising Victory and ATV dealer in a tiny town here in CT. I never even would have thought they'd have it to be honest.

Beautiful bike, I want seat time on one of these as it's in my line up of next bike to buy in the coming weeks. Everyone talks about how well these handle

If you lived closer I'd say come on by and take mine for a spin. I have never felt so comfortable going hard into a corner as I do on this bike, it just keeps asking for more. The stock tires are fantastic as well, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsas, I haven't ridden with them in the wet (and have no intentions to), but once they heat up they are amazing!

Glad you're enjoying the purchase! I will have to make time to check one out this weekend. I feel my baby Ducati Monster handles better than my R6 on the street, could only imagine the 848 feel. I've spent time on a 999 and wasn't impressed, pretty sure I'm not alone on that statement though

I haven't ridden a 999 but looked at a couple of them last year and didn't read very many favorable posts regarding it. I'm also not a fan of the aesthetics of the front which make the bike just look awkward!

How does the 1199 compare to the 848? I'd imagine with that amount of power increase in the 1199 it is pretty much night and day!

I'm on my second 1098, love this series of Ducatis. I tried to fall in love the the 1199 Panigale, but just too many issues in my opinion.. Love your bike, great choice!

    Awesome bike!

What kind of helmet is that in the 3rd pic?

Very nice, I would like to pick up a 1098 in the next couple of years, although we will see where life takes me. I intend to move into NYC in the next year or two and my 848 will likely go into storage when that happens!

I hadn't heard of the issues with the 1199 Panigale, then again I'm not often on the Duc forums!

    Thanks!

The helmet is a Shoei RF-1100 Transmission. Definitely a great helmet and keeps noise down pretty well, I am interested to see the comes about with some of the HUD/Augmented Reality helmets that are coming to market in the next year. This one in particular is intriguing to me: This augmented reality motorcycle helmet could save your life

I went and pulled it out of the garage over the weekend and headed out for a ride. Had the bike for sale originally, but have now decided to just keep it. It's a work of art to me, and I'd rather own it and get to ride it when time permits than to let this thing go!

Since the first pictures I've done a fender chop, integrated tail and some updated bar ends. Over the winter I'm debating the full termi exhaust and tune.
