Anyone going to Pinehurst Concours and know where to park. Ferrari car corral would have been nice!
I am considering going. Got an email about it yesterday and they will have a Italian Car Corral, but you have to register for it. Deiger
The Car Corral last year was I think $5 or $ 10. It was in a dirt field but close to the gate. They want $ 25 this year. I am planning on attending.
anybody have any interest in a caravan to Pinehurst? Perhaps we could meet near 540 and U.S. 1 intersection?
My 308 is still in the shop, but I am bringing down the 911 track car and a '72 911T. A friend is also heading down then with a TR6 and a 911. Probably leaving early in the morning.
Chip...saw your car on Saturday. Terry has your car torn down into a million pieces! Your muffler looks great! It will be Christmas before he gets it all back together!
....and I will be doing a 24 Hours of LeMons race at CMP in a $500 crap-can. Just slightly different cars at LeMons compared to the concours.
I am registered. Purchased the car corral also. I will probably leave early in the am on Sunday. Looking forward to seeing everyone and hopefully meeting some new, great people. Deiger
Ok, got some info. Would anyone here be doing the drive to Fort Bragg on Friday. I thought about driving over to just tag along with the caravan. I will have to check to see if I am off work for those days. PDG
I will be going, but not in the 360. She threw a CEL on the way home from C&C today. So I will be driving the wife's 335i Coupe. Going to try and switch from the Italian Corral to the BMW corral. Deiger
Well here are some shots from the Concours. I am not the best photographer, but I did my best. Also, there were a limited number of cars there, but all were very nicely presented. My favorite car there was a BMW M1; however, I had an overexposure on the picture, so I am going to have to try and correct it. Stay Tuned! The green 1956 Jaguar XKSS belonged to Steve McQueen and supposedly was valued at over $10 Million. As a great surprise Leigh Diffey was the MC for the day and he was kind enough to do a picture. He is also a local guy up in Cornelius. We chatted for a bit, I didn't get into too much F1 with him as it is his job and everyone deserves a day off. A great day overall weather, cars, and the drive up! Enjoy the pics. Nice pics!!! I posted some to my facebook but took probably a couple hundred between my camera and my cell phone. Sorry I didnt meet you there Dieger - or if I did I didnt connect the name - I did meet a LOT of people associated with Ferrari and hopefully made some very cool connections. PDG
Thanks for the great photos. What an eclectic group of cars??? The one car that you photographed that surprised me was the Lincoln Mark III. Not exactly the car I would picture as a classic car. Which car won best of show?
