Anyone know anything else about this? http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/06/first-glimpse-of-pininfarinas-ferrari-600-gto-nart/
Pininfarina has all to do with this car, Ferrari was the one that didn't place there name on these projects until the last minute! There are 3 of these cars being coachbuilt by Pininfarina, rumor has it that they are to belong to a private collector that wan'ts a unique look to there 599 GTB, which is the reason for the name change to 600 GTO NART.
It's NOT by pininfarina, it's vandebrick's GTO's 3 have been already sold of a total of a limited run of five, it has nothing to do with pininfarina. I hate when a stupid website post "insider info" with no pics and "rumors", like, "there will be a F60, it's gona be red, it will have a V12 and it's going to be a veyron killer" come on... There will be 5 599 "GTO" styled by vanderbrick, all are going to be handmade in aluminum, use search function of this website, or go to ************* website for more info.
Actually I think these are 2 different cars.. another 'pic' (unmistakenly different from the Vandenbrink 599s). Jim, would you have anything to do with this perhaps? Image Unavailable, Please Login
He's right, its all privateer. I heard about this when it went down. Cool idea, I just don't think its going to be much more than a lip kit and some media over-hype. You cant make it without the backing of a major design house, and most importantly, they wouldn't make three if it was all done by Pininfarina. Somebody would own the design rights and wouldn't have it reproduced. Anybody can customize a new carbon fiber fender. Good on em' though. I'm more looking forward to the 'NART revival.' Best Jon
I'd be careful, if I were they.....Coco is on hard times per litigation recently entered and I think HE owns the rights to "N.A.R.T." North American Racing Team..........
First, James G would know. Second, this sounds too much like Michele V's GTO project, somehow the story got twisted into two different cars.
From the sublime to the ridiculous (or is it the other way round?): Here's a 575 GTO (old school) under construction: Target is 1150kg & 600bhp Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
