Hi, i find info on this car!Do you know this? Can you help me?Thank's Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I really have no idea, but I can see Qatari plates on the Caprice in the first pic. So, I assume it's in Qatar... Are you sure this isn't a replica? That would really be a shameful thing to do leaving a Miura in such a state!
Hmmm, very interesting project. Needs a couple of private investigators to find it's location in Qatar (which isn't very large).
Yes! Very interesting Tarek. We'll have to get Joe Sackey over here LOL. Just PM'd him. Tarek, although Miura's are serious business.... but what's the situation with the chicks on your boat!? Hope you are enjoying it!
This car (chassis number 5062) is surrounded by automotive skulduggery, an ailing and incommunicado Middle Eastern ruler, shady car brokers, mystery & intrigue. All that remains is a good car chase and a plane crash and Im submitting the script for movie production. I wont be surprised if somebody gets bumped off before the plot concludes Been there, done that, good luck. BTW, restoring a Miura SV in that condition to the way my "4884" was done by Bobileff will take the best part of $200k. Gary will confirm, as will my therapist and my wife. LOL. Joe www.joesackey.com
Oh yeah it's fun, I'm enjoying it . The chicks too . I will be returning back to the boat next weekend for another week of partying. Really you should consider coming over this summer.
Appreciate the offer as always my friend. But chances of me getting out there anytime soon is as good as us finding the true story of this pink Miura However, i'll let you know if things change! God know's i'd love to go
Even in pink and even in such bad shape, I still love that car and would take it in a heartbeat!!! I am certain that it would take a boatload of cash to restore, but especially if it is an SV, it would be worth EVERY penny!
Definetly right David. By the looks of the pics, the body seems like it's very good and dry. I bet this car is a VERY good start of a resto project. Thanks dude. And not that you'd like to come here....but the offer also stands for Toronto. I am a no-show for Estoril this year....but that offer there also stands (plus, it's more fun than Toronto LOL)
The best part is, its already been SANDBLASTED.....that color is probably OEM Red paint, exposed to decades of intense sun-fading and heat. ZERO rust, though.
I may be in Qatar next week. I assume the car is in Doha. Know the street? I specialize in dead Lamborghinis left by the curb. The former ruler of Qatar lives here now and he had a thing for L-cars (I have seen his flat black (!) Countach here in Dubai) and I have my suspicions... That is not the only toasted exotic left in the Middle East.
Pink? It looks more like an off purple to me. At first I thought it was just the primer color getting ready for repaint. Regardless it's still a rare find.
lol! - I hope the Weinstein Brothers buy your script because I would love to see that movie. George Clooney as the good guy trying to save the car Tom Cruise as the shady car broker Elizabeth Hurley as the femme fatale
I woldn't mind investing some years of my life restoring it to a decent driver condition. P.S. whoever marries this car : Don't Overrestore it please.
Sadly, the pics really don't show much of the street. But, I can see another "wrecked" car in front of the Miura. So, it's either at a repair shop or... some kind of dumpster!
I don't think so - it seems uniform on the whole body. If it were faded from the sun I'd expect it to be varied depending on how much exposure to the light the different areas got.
