Actually sounds like interesting moves if true. Renault would benefit from DC's experience. Do FA and DC get along?

Doesn't matter, DC won't be able to keep up with FA anyway. It is interesting. Looks like a win/win all around. Also it looks like someone really wants to make sure Piquet Jr stays in F1.

Toro Rosso must get a load of money for that deal. Replacing a young driver with great talent with another young driver who's already on his way out sounds like a bad deal to me if there isn't any serious money involved.

I'd like to see it just to watch DC in a decent chassis again to see what's left in his tank.

I rather see Mark Webber at Renault than Coulthard.

As much as I like Coulthard I don't think that'll happen as Webber is driving much better than he is. There's no way Alonso would willingly expose himself to a situation where he might get shown up by his team mate. If they wanted a fast number two they would have kept Fisi. There's no way Webber would come on board as a number two and while I do think Alonso is faster than Webber I also think Webber could certainly give Alonso fits.

Wasn´t Flavio Webber´s manager or something like that? It would make sense.

The key to this tranaction is Renault. DC comes form a Renault powered car, Red Bulls owns two of the three teams affected. I think DC would surprise at Renault, assuming there is some improvement to the chassis before year end.

Mark Webber is Managed by Flavio.
DC would help Renault out with his feedback and testing ability. He is also a good number two, or at least was, during his Maclaren days with Mika.
Schumacher wanted DC to be a testdriver for Ferrari in 05.

It will be interesting to see how Piquet does against Bourdais. Bourdais has been able to finish races at a better rate than Vettel, which isn't saying much. It won't look good for Piquet if he gets blown away by Bourdais, who has matched or bettered Vettel this season.

I think Bourdais is doing a much better job than I expected pre-season. He is acquitting himself very well, particularly in contrast to Vettel, whom I think is over-rated.

Piquet Jr. on the other hand is the worst driver in F1. Bourdais will destroy him.

Agree, I think Piquet is another guy in F1 because of his name. Not to mention comes off kind of arrogant as if he is entitled to be in F1.

FA has to be careful. Webber has destroyed Coulthard this year (FA will inevitably be compared to Webber).

Time for Vettel to lose his luster as Webber brutalizes another F1 newcomer (Wilson, Pizzonia, Klien, Rosberg).

Did you think Bourdais was gonna get blown out or something? Seriously? After his insane CART reign? I'm surprised he's not beating Vettel soundly, to be honest.

Really not a good option for any of the drivers. DC is going to get blown away by FA, NP is going to get blown away by SB, and SV is going to have a tough time with Webber.

Personally I'd like Piquet to be shown the door and for a new driver to get a seat.

Bourdais has a lot less time in an f1 car, yet is usually quicker than Vettel in qualifying, especially if the car doesn't start as being quick on a track (relatively speaking, of course. We all know how slow their car is). Bourdais is better at adapting to conditions and setting up his car it seems. A lot of talent and experience.
He has had a lot of bad luck with the car, things keep breaking on it.

I'm not sure the Renault is faster than the Red Bull. He might not even want to leave, Red Bull have just been getting better and better since they arrived, but it doesn't matter, the speculative article doesn't mention anything about Webber.

Take a look at the press conference schedule

I can see it now "Oh by the way Coulthard... get lost"

It would be pointless to put Webber in the car. He's not what the team needs right now. They want DC to help develop the car. I think Flav figures if the car is competive he can keep Alonso longer. If Flav can provide the best car by next year there is no way Alonso would go to Ferrari. If they put Webber in the car, the car wouldn't get any better any quicker. He'd be closer to Alonso but again, I don't think that's really the point here.

David isn't magic. Look how uncompetitive Redbull has been since 2005. If they want to improve the car, they'll work with the engineers and designers. Fernando is probably sufficient enough when it comes to testing and feedback.
