FIA sucks. Definite favouritism/business have gone on in the last few years (as if we didn't already know but whatever. Had it been Heikki/Kimi crashing to help their team like piquet did, the team would have been stripped of all their points and banned for the rest of the season.

    Mosley deserves a castration.

Except replace "FIA" with "Everyone". If that's their rule, than so be it. But it does beg the question as to why they didn't push harder for information. But to me, it turns attention back towards Piquet Jr. and what an enormous kitty cat he is. He didn't have the stones to say no to Flavio--allegedly--and instead crashed and then turned to his dad. I'd bet he hoped somehow telling his dad would lead to an escalation of this without him having to step out over the line. And then why now? I know he was let go by the team, but then this is nothing more than sour grapes revenge on Junior's part. He should receive a lifetime FIA ban if his claims prove true.

I really want to see JR race again. He was wrongfully stripped of his seat.Renault were acting as if Grosjean can bring immediate results.I knew it was gonna take time for GROSS-jean to fit with the car and at best, with this testing ban,he will see the same negative results as NPJ and most likely wont top NPJ's career best result of P2 on the podium.Because if he does, that means he is a race winner.Next season,if his teammate is Fred,Kubica or Heikki,he will still be a number 2.Unless the French squad gives him an LH-type "French Crown Prince" treatment and try to push him above his more experienced teammate. But with this testing ban I really dont see that happening.

Grosjean gets the same results piquet got...Piquet has had a couple of years to practise already whereas Grosjean only had about 12 hours up to now (he was a test driver as of last season IIRC, so not much testing then either).

I think Flavio just got fed up with Nelson being a whining girl and his father being a prick (he attended each race), on top of the results. Couldn't bare seeing him any longer and he got the sack.

Flav has alot to gain from this lastest leak brilliant just frigging brilliant.
I really love the fact someone is strirring the pot within the FIA.

Right: Max Knew then CW told him what 2 weeks at most ok. The right thing was to do :Max asks to see the telemetry of NPJ ..job done!! , but oh NO he keeps it up his scum bag sleeve, ready to be dealt as of now.

The sport is corrupt and rotten to the core and Mosley is to blame NOBODY can say Massa should have won and NOBODY can say Lewis should not have won because its all FIXED.

And Mosley is to blame end off.

If the sport cannot rid itself of this evil scum I'm done with it.

Not me--I don't think he deserved it to begin with.

+1. In the end, I think Jr. is just too emotionally soft for F1. He's F1's Marco Andretti--decent while driving within the protective fold of his family's team (I've questioned how well Marco would perform out on his own, and that if his career is ever to take off, that is the chance he needs to take). His dad got him as far as he could, but once he was the property of an F1 team that expected results, he crumbled. The owners don't coddle their drivers, and I'm also a believer that Flavio just quit caring about Jr. It's easy for the driver to complain about not getting equal treatment, but when a seasoned owner, manager and agent sees the weaknesses, why should he waste his resources on a lost cause?

At different junctures, a stronger driver would never have been in Jr.'s position:
--A better driver would have produced better results
-Behind closed doors, something would have come through to show the team he had potential
--A stronger personality would have told Flavio to f-off if asked to crash
--And a year later he decides to talk about it?

It's as if Jr. feels they owe him for taking a bullet.

IMHO, a great dad would have told his son how he should have just said no and not succumbed to the pressure to cheat and not to ever do it again. But, not report his cheating son to the authorities which now makes him damaged goods and not attractive to any F1 team in the future. Unless he thought his son was too gullible and wanted him out of F1 anyway ... in that event, he succeeded quite well. It kinda reminds me of a fellow I knew in high school who's doctor dad reported him to the police for smoking pot...as it turned out his son was selling pot and the police then caught him and he was convicted of a felony preventing him from being a doctor like his good old dad...I believe he now works in retail sales ...what a dad.

The Daily Mirror in London is reporting that Whiting informed FIA President Max Mosley about the race-fixing incident in Singapore, as long ago as at the Brazilian GP in late October 2008. This was just a few weeks after the events in Singapore about the conversations, but that Mosley felt that no action could be taken unless someone involved was willing to admit the offence....complete and utter bolloxs Mosley should be in prison IMO

Perhaps that was his first approach and Jr. didn't get the message:

His dad seems to have known, probably from son
son didn't leave him a choice as Sr. has now a stake in his rep, and sleeping nights...

He has taught his son, that confession is great but to the correct people: Jr. can now move on and find a real job.
