WOW. Does anyone actually like Piquet? Everyone is entitled to an opinion about Flav, I personally like the guy from what little I know about him through the press (met him briefly in Indy years ago - nice guy). But to say he knows s#@t about F1.......laughable. Goodbye Nelsonito!
Nelson not only ruined his relationship at Renault but poisoned any new drives that may be on the horizon. It has to be the toughest gig in the world to be teamed with Alonso who is probably the best driver on the grid and who has now learned not to share any info with the co-driver. What I personally dont like about Pikit Jr is his condescending attitude towards his dad who has done everything for him and for whom nelshino would be a nothing.
I think that he has a point if he means that Flav knows nothing about the technical and driving side of F1. Flav would admit himself that he is not a 'racing guy'. He is a business man. He has probably never held a spanner in his life. However I think he knows how to pick a decent driver.
Owning up to a problem won't make it disappear. The only way for it to disappear is to go quicker. You fail, you're out. Simple as that Nelson. Your dads name isn't enough to make it into F1.

The rest of the F1 field owes Jr. a big thank you. He saved one of them from being Alonso's #2, a thankless job if ever there was one. They can express their gratitude by not speaking ill of him when he's gone. Which can't happen soon enough.
yup. I spect Flavor Flav is changing N-Piq's passwords as we speak. But now, dangit, Renault will have to hire an actually GOOD driver.
His dads name was enough to make it 'into' F1, but a name doesn't give you the fire and ability to 'make' it. Nelson Jr is about to move back to Brazil and continue living off of his dads reputation and $$.
Romain Grosjean is going to make some straight tests in few days. I guess that's a good sign for him.
You guys who think Nelsinho is going back to Brazil with his tail between his legs may be in for a shock soon... When your daddy is a billionaire you can have anything... Including your very own F1 team.
Love him or hate him, Flav has convincingly demonstrated that he understands the most important thing about F1: How to assemble a winning team. He has also demonstrated that he can get laid by gorgeous women while lacking a chin. Come to think of it, the latter may be even more important.
You know what I meant. I reckon he's going to be driving in GP2 (probably GP2 asia this season, GP2 normal next) and most likely in Le mans etc.
