I'm looking at getting new tires for my CS. The OEM rear tire is a 99Y. My guy has got a set of 103Y (extra load) available. Any problems with any handling or other issues with the 103's?

Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

(I also posted this in the technical section)

The info I read some weeks back (previous post) was that the 103's are just fine relative to performance and handling.

I have the 103Y's on my Stradale and they are spectacular. This is the new tire for the 430 Scuderia and they are a 2007 production date. What could be better! :))

Jon, If your source has access to another set I believe Rick, (720) is in need.

I believe my source said he could get his hands on 1 more set. My source is my neighbor who owns a small tire chain, but is getting the tires from another vendor.

apparently pirelli corsas for the rear are available fairly easily. it's the front tirees that are no longer available (or are very hard to find). but even if you find them they were made 3 or 4 years ago and this is not desirable since rubber properties change. however, pirelli are still making corsa tires that are slightly wider (235/35-19) than the OEM stradale front tires (225/35-19) and joe (ducati) has reported that these tires worked extremely well (i think he even liked them more than the OEM front tires).

I ordered a set of the 235's for the front. I got tired of my current PS2's.

I would think you could get away with the extra load tires but not if the stock requirement was for the extra load and all that was available was the non extra load. My guess is the extra load tires are a little more robust and therefore weigh a little more.

    best regards,
    Jerry
