Does anyone have any experience with Pirelli Corsa tyres? I got a set fitted to my Gallardo yesterday and the dealer tells me pressures should be set at 32F/29R. The car feels very soft with these pressures - a smooth ride, but not as sharp to steer as before (although still running in, I know).

What is the best pressure to run these tyres for street use - not tracking?

    TIA

Corsa or Corsa System?? Quite different.

Pressures should be about 10-15% higher than stock when COLD for street driving. When you go to the track, you'll need to work it out for yourself.... but mid to high 30's when HOT is a good ball park.... this'll put them back too low when cold again... so top them up.

I have found quite a difference between Corsa and Corsa systems.
I can not buy the full Corsa for my 19" wheels in a wide enough tread width.

I recommend 32-34psi cold all round for road use, and 34-35psi hot for track use.
Depending on track temperatures etc, this usually means around 26-28psi cold.

the 1st is a rear corsa , the best available pirelli track tyre but not available in 19 inch

the 2nd is a front corsa system , the next grade down as far as grip goes

the 3rd is a rear corsa system

corsa system is what comes standard on the CS

the 2 have the same compound but the corsa system tyre has 25mm on the front and 33mm on the rear less rubber on the road than the corsa due to the tread pattern.

on the side wall it won't say system

i have been told 19inch corsas are made and i will get the first set into the country , hopefully within 4 weeks.

on temp i run 30 to 32psi hot all round for the track. the system will loss chunks of rubber off the trye if higher than say 35psi hot. i know, it has happened to me

Thanks Roger. Mine are Corsa System then. I'm unlikely to track the car, so what pressure do you recommend for street use?

stick to lambo specs i guess.running them between say 30 and 35 hot won't matter too much. i will be keep the psi on my GT2 and CS at the manufactures specs as we will be going pretty quick in NT

My limited experience is with the Corsa only, but i don't think the "system" is any different. 32-34psi hot on the track, noticeable loss of traction either side of these numbers. 34-38psi cold depending on preferences on the street.

    Brilliant in the dry.
Very good in light rain or damp conditions.
Aquaplane in standing water (heavy rain).
