I've spent the last couple of days at an event organised by Pirelli to introduce their new F1 tyre to the press and discovered Pirelli are currently producing a batch of 345/35VR-15 Countach rear tyres at their specialist tyre factory in Turkey.

But the big surprise to me was Pirelli confirmed that they were also producing a batch of LM002 tyres at the same facility in Turkey. Pirelli are looking into the best way to distribute these LM002 tyres and said they were considering doing so via the Lamborghini dealer network, rather than using their normal tyre distributors.

So if you're looking for some LM002 tyres, it might be worth making your Lamborghini dealer aware.

I want to be a believer.

Forget 345, how about the 205? THAT will never happen.

What a waste for Pirelli to go through Lamborghini for the LM tires.....most owners do not go anywhere near a dealer. Nor would a dealer have information who owns them. Plus the dealer will assrape LM owners.
Message boards and word of mouth are the way to go.

What else should we expect from a greek.

KY Gel should be replaced with a Grease and Sand Combination for that lasting effect to remember for a long time!

    Update:

I forwarded your remarks to my contact at Pirelli (Pirelli Motorsport Director, Paul Hembery) and he confirmed LM002 tyres will be under construction at their specialist tyre factory in Turkey during February and that distribution will be managed via Lamborghini, which I take to mean they will be made available via the official Lamborghini dealer network.

Whether everyone in the Lamborghini dealer network knows this yet is perhaps unlikely, I'm only passing on this information to you as early as I can because I know how difficult it's been to source new LM002 tyres in the past.

As for making a new batch of 205/50ZR15 tyres, Paul is going to look into this and report back as soon as he can, I'll keep you posted. Can anyone confirm this tyre was available as a P-Zero originally.

Finally, I have a full set of Countach QV tyres on their way from Pirelli, so if you're also after some new tyres for your Countach, now might be a very good time to get an order in at your local tyre supplier!

    If they offer a 205 and a 345, then I'm game.
The car tires, they should give to the tire places online like tirerack.com and the one or two other big ones.

Tell Paul to crank up the molds for the P7's (front and rear)...they would sell extremely well. I would take at least 4-5 sets.
