Those Bentley's make me smile. I love the absurdity of them.

Me too. They make a pretty damn good race car to boot!

    Absurdity ?

Apart from a large frontal area, there is not much wrong with them, I think.

I saw them at Silverstone last year (when one won), and they had more top speed than any other GT3.

I don't mean it in a bad way, I think they are awesome. Just the idea of going racing in such a big, heavy, luxury GT car is a bit of a crazy idea. I like crazy, and I hope to see one in person sometime.

    Big?
A standard Bentley Continental GT is slightly longer than a BMW M3 (150mm), narrower and 10mm taller). It's however taller than a Ferrari 458 by 200mm.

    Heavy?
M-Sport trimmed 1000kg from its weight to bring it to GT3 minimum weight.
A Continental GT in race trim isn't heavier than Ferrari 458, or a Porsche 911GT3.

    Luxury?
Well, the Bentley is in good company with Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, etc...

I saw them race at Barber Motorsports Park. The Bentley by far was the best sounding car imo. The McLaren won, but it was pretty quiet by comparison.
