Hi Just a heads up that Pirelli have made a fresh batch of the alternative Italian version of the XWX https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/pirelli-collezione/cinturato-cn12.html It is what Maserati and Lambo were fitting in 1971. from 1964 all the big and best super cars fitted 205VR15 Cinturato CN72 which we have in stock. some af course (275 GTB and 330 GTC) fitted 205VR14 CN72. this is going into production soon. I hope to have it mayb e late summer. (I have seen one of the test tyres nut that is as far as we have got so far.) from 1968 70% profile tyres became all the range. Lots of manufacturers went with XWX. Jag did Dunlop Aquajet, Pirelli did CN36 with Porsche among others. it seems at this point htat Lambo like Ferrari went for the XWX, and Maserati sort of dithered over taking on 70% profile and seem to have waited for Pirelli to develop the new Cinturao CN12, which Lamborghini moved back to with the Miura and with the SV Miura with the massive 255/60VR15 CN12 on the back which incidentally Pirelli have just made again. Aston Martin used the CN72 as well, then also moved ont o CN12 with the 255/60VR15 CN12 as the tyre for the Vantage. Any way the real reason for this post is that Pirelli have produced the 215/70VR15 Cinturato CN12 again if you want it? https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/pirelli-collezione/cinturato-cn12/215-70wr15-pirelli-cinturato-cn12.html and 205/70VR15 CN12 for that matter. I think i would stick with XWX if i'm honest, but they are their if you want them.
