Pista Allocation

I'm guessing the dilemma in Australia would be high import taxes would make the wheels very expensive as a factory option

 

Just got the nod on my allocation !! - Still not sure of when though.

Been debating a config with zero CF (or as little as possible) and only matt CF in the cabin. Its a personal preference rather than a $ thing as I am over CF.

Any thoughts ?

First - congrats on th allocation.

Second - since you asked - glossy carbon fiber and as much as possible. For me, at least.

Third - build your car for you and nobody else.

Was hoping it may have been for here....giving some indication of what is happening on the official allocation front.. All I keep hearing is end of next year. Could mean I'm either on the tail end of any allocations here or it's just a hopeful assurance being given to keep me on the hook. Don't know but would sure like to!

 

Mate, its a debacle. I have been pushing my guy very hard and even though he said I am in we don't know when. I do know locally its still up in the air though and as far as I know (didn't pay much attention) not too many are 100%

 

Yeah bit of a joke really. So much vagueness and uncertainty on if and when and then you see cars starting to surface on the roads in Europe now. Aus must be bottom of the list or something.

I'm just glad I've got my 488 really. Thankfully I have a 2rs arriving late sept/early oct so that and 488 will help satisfy in between now and whenever I can get a straight answer on Pista.

 

Congratulations! My suggestion is get all the CF stuff- glossy for the outside, matte for the inside.

 

On my way to visit my 488 for the first time I expect it to be awesome and a nice cruiser for the wife as well. 2RS should be a blast and will definitely keep u occupied

Why do wheels need to be painted silver? Who made silver the default choice?

 

Cheers mate and be keen to hear your feedback on your 488 especially after you've got your backside in it. I'm pretty sure you will be happy with it. Wife should also be happy .
Is it an Oz delivery or EU? Re the 2 it should prove an interesting/worthy replacement for my tts but my heart is still craving for that Pista.

 

EU. Fly out in an hour . Went the "comfort pack" in the 488 as wife is not a fan of race seats. I get you on the 2RS. Had a TTS and 3RS and the 2RS just did not "excite" me. No disrespect to the 2RS as it will be phenomenal. But like u my heart is with the Pista. I just hope its not a 2020 delivery but hopefully we will know in the next week or so.

 

Enjoy. 488 will be cosy with those comforts - maybe too cosy haha. Pista is the machine though!! 2rs will be a beast but wont have the sound and look of that Pista! Just when is the big question now but Pista for me is looking like a late 2019 or 2020 sadly. Safe travels.

 

I can understand that. I feel almost the same way for the interior. But for the exterior, maybe I have not evolved yet, but I don't like matte paint finishes and thus, I still like the glossy CF for the exterior.

As an aside, we are a lucky bunch to be having this discussion!

I personally like the carbon and I am going to make sure the exterior has all the right carbon bits.

Except I don't want the carbon wheels as I don't trust the pot holes in LA.

Most get them for MSRP. ADM is just a straw man argument.
