So far in the last several years they haven't disappointed me yet and have come through with early builds for 430Scud, 458, F12, Speciale, 488 Spider, and now 812...so we'll see but I have a feeling they'll come through again for me on the Pista.
Are you in the market? I know I am "misinformed" but I bet I can help you get one at MSRP? Just let me know and I would be happy to help you but only if you are ready to pull the trigger now.
I simply can't follow the Porsche talk. 991, 992 911, GT, GT2 GT3, 991.2, 1, .2, .3 RS,.... they all look identical to me. Starting to like the Pista name.
Good on you. Trades around here the dealer is looking for upwards of $30k from you on a fresh used. They will settle for something in the twenties but that's it. LE's another story but rules apply. Consignment a crap shoot. They don't show those cars unless you ask about a specific model. I've never traded a Ferrari and satisfied with 100% loss as I would have kept the money if I wanted it more than the car in the first place. Best.
Okay, I'll up the wager...I'll take one. I have one already. But I'll take another one at MSRP...immediately. When can you put me in touch with your "contact"?
Gentlemen, your testosterone is showing. Respectfully, however, this is way off thread topic. Perhaps you can PM your bravado to one other
I’m not a dealer . I own a new Gt3 and I’ll take another at msrp right now too. Please pm me your info so I can buy another .
I'll take one too if you gentlemen will kindly move your Porsche machismo banter or privately PM amongst yourselves. apparently, each of you already have one, but will take another, just to prove Motorwerks can't produce one at MSRP. and instead of PM'ing each other, you insist on publicly calling each other out as if the rest of us truly care about your empty exchange of bravado over a Porsche on a Ferrari Pista allocation thread. Seriously!
First of all, why would I need to produce one at MSRP??? I'm not a dealer. I own an auto service center, performance shop, and a collision center. I purchased a brand new 2018 991.2 GT3 from Porsche of Beachwood for myself. Now, what does this have to do with me trying to produce one and to whom???
No, I'm NOT a dealer, I own a automotive repair facility and collision center. I purchased mine from Porsche of Beachwood for myself (just like my 991.1 GT3 from them as well). Now, I will PM you for your source. You don't need to be screening prospects; let's let your source do that. I can be a martian from mars who wants one from your "source".
This is a Pista thread agreed , however, I’m not the one who brought up The Whole Porsche thing. Personally, I could care less as I already have a new GT3 and a Pista allocation. I just find it amusing when people on this forum spew **** out of their months about other manufacturers or even Ferrari without any evidence to back it up . What gh 21631 has stated is totally unequivocally false without question. I think there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this forum and I certainly am far from an expert on every subject but his comments are so ludicrous they can’t go without be corrected. Further, it’s not Motorwerks that can’t produce one at msrp or that suggests he can. Agreed, however, let’s get on with Pista discussion and stop with the fictitious and erroneous comments from people who are clearly misinformed.
I am continually amazed by the seemingly successful people on FChat who engage in vigorous debate without reading each other's posts, or knowing who said what, and thus misapplying quotes. In a courtroom you guys would be minced into little pieces.
Agreed. Fortunately, this is a car forum not a courtroom. So we don’t have to worry about being “minced into little pieces”
Update but not really; Recap; dealer called me and told me about pista and told that lusso or gt4 lusso was a must and mandated by ferrari. Went to the video presentation and once again was told that lusso was a must (verified with a couple of other people at the presentation too). Was told that even with lusso purchase ferrari still had to approve me to get pista but shouldn't be a problem. I told them I would think about it. No follow up from dealer since the presentation (looks like they got some people to play ball).
Hmm. Well i know some of us have bought Lusso or FF but not all of us. Guess it depends on your overall profile and participation within the Ferrari world .
Agree. I've said this before - each dealer has their customers worked out from previous dealings insofar as what they can get away with/pass off. It's a case where you make your bed you lay in it....or in this case, your dealer makes you lay in it. You can't really blame a motor dealer for doing what comes to them naturally.
yeah, i'm aware of that. Just giving my own update since some people are giving the advice to wait out the dealers...
I think if you haven’t been offered an allocation by now waiting out the dealer isn’t a good idea if you really want the car. I still think production numbers will be in line with the Speciale and Scuderia but no one knows for sure. It’ll likely be a difficult car to get at least for the first couple years as long as the economy holds. Most people who are getting one have already been offered their allocation.
Think about what you just wrote... you have to lose around $100K in order to "prove" to Ferrari you're worthy... sounds like all you would be doing is showing financial incompetence, or being a pushover, and nothing else. Does that sound "worthy" to you? This is pure fraud from your dealer and its management team, otherwise every single Pista allocation would mandate a Lusso, which isn't the case. Don't fall for this classic dealer game. The 100K loss is a conservative estimate if you bought and sold a Lusso within 8-12 months, which is when you would receive a Pista.
