In this week's issue of Autocar, Pista becomes the fastest car around the Anglesey coastal circuit. Image Unavailable, Please Login
how could the 720s just be 0.1sec slower than the piste on corsas. Would mean on trofeo R the 720 is would be 1 sec faster for sure. When was the 720s test
They should have put the Performante on the track, would have loved to see how it compares to the LT and Pista.
Someone said that the Pista is on Trofeo R. I don't have the issue so I can't say whether that's true or not. I thought Ferrari was using Cup2 on these models, but they did use Corsas on the LF.
Different day of course. Different mag too. Take it for what it is -- two different tests. https://fastestlaps.com/tests/7895faf1l101
I thought the new Corsa are equivalent to the pilotsport cup. Trofeo R are even softer rubber then both
Where is the tipping point that all out performance becomes more important than enjoyment ? A Mclaren Senna is beyond the reach of common man. Both in performance and attainability, I'm somewhere between a sweet $30k Lotus Super 7 clone and a $200K 430 scud for pure enjoyment. Even though I raced "real" formula race cars . IMO enjoy the cars that you loved in youth and forget performance. 5 Years from now the Senna will be a quaint slug.
Too funny. British car wins British test, but journo foolishly admits the German car had shot tires and could have been a second and a half faster - and then Pista blew everything away from looks to performance but that all didn't seem to matter either. Hmm. Meanwhile the British ugly duckling wins. O. Kay! Better get the salt shaker and get a big grain out.
It is listed as 488GTB but it is the Pista. 0-62 mph( which is 0-100kms) - 600LT- 2.9 seconds, Pista 3.0
You don't have any problems when a Ferrari "wins" a test that it objectively loses... Ferrari isn't alone anymore at the top. That's the reality of it. The Pista will get it's lunch eaten by a 720S on the same tires. The 600LT is in fact a very fast and well received car (just like the 570 and the 675LT were). Is it impossible that the LT version of an already excellent car is actually really enjoyable?
I don 't think that they have clocked the cars (Autocar clocks 0-60 and not 0-62 anyway). They have just miss-copied the factory figures.
