    Hi all,

Just picked up a pista and had it paint corrected and PPF'd, as the previous owner had no PPF on the car.
I have a couple of questions though.

    1. My car doesn't have the rear diffuser, front, or side skirts in carbon. It's all the matte black plastic. Do you think it's worth PPF'ing those spots? It's already been driven without PPF so I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make on something like the rear diffuser which has already had rocks kicked up against it.
It's going to need Xpel stealth to maintain the matte black, so it's going to cost a bit more. Rest of the car is protected, the only areas not PPF'd yet are the matte black parts.

    2. PPF on the hood. The hood was definitely pre cut, as I can see lines in the scoop area and there is a certain part of the scoop exposed paint, not covered by any film because of this. It's more on the inside of the scoop but I'm not sure if that's the norm. Did your installers bulk the hood to ensure full coverage? Or does anyone else see the similar lines in their scoops?

    Thanks!

My Pista has complete front to include front flaps and cf components. Full side sills, mirrors and 1/4 of top. Half of rear quarter panels. I doubt that you need the rear diffuser PPF’d. As far as the side skirts,I don’t have them covered as they seem well protected from tire debris.

IMO up to you in Xpel stealth. If they are damaged / stained the easy part is buying the part as all the black parts are really cheap ( especially Ferrari prices ) The cost will be the removal and refit.

Take for example the only black part in my 488 GTB is the rear diffuser as all other parts are paint colour.

    Black about $3,500
    Carbon about $8,600

The S-Duct where you say your missing PPF is most likely because of the pattern by Xpel.

If i were you i would get them to cover that section. Look also under the front and side skirts everywhere there is paint. It should be covered but certain points aren't because of the pattern and out of sight out of mind. I dont follow that mentality as those painted parts under the car get the most hits.
