Yup get that and with 488's and 720S's in the same ballpark ito $'s I am just stating that its an interesting decision as to which a person would purchase
I'm much the same with noone. He can be very pesky for sure, but he's a barrel of laughs and they just keep coming. I loved the one about the EV Aston. I mean where does he come up with stuff like that?
if you have no intention other than to troll and actually never buy a car- just claim your dream car is some off in the distant future car that will likely never see the light of day.
But, could there be a change in store since apparently the follow-on will be a V6 turbo hybrid, no more V8 turbos in the mid-level (PF/Roma low end but I presume they will be followed by V6 turbos)... Will that matter to the secondary market? The last Ferrari V8s? for instance, in 2025, SF90 follow-on will be V8 turbo hybrid, 1200PS and command a mighty price, everything downstream is a V6 based (or V4...) will that reality buoy prices of an F8 at all? Point being it won't be the same conditions as usual (i.e. new models), so will the effects on pre-owned market also not be the usual? That's the big unknown to me, how will the market react to the disruption in new model progression?
720S is well above a 488 in terms of performance. It’s a bargain for the price. Both will lose 50k in value in the next 24 months I bet.
This I completely agree. And similar enough to Pista I didnt see the point, for what I like. I had hoped the Pista could have been made to sound exciting. But a 720 cant either, and the videos of 765 do not leave me with any hope.
Ferrari business model falls apart if cars depreciate beyond a set amount, corona or not. They can not have 488's selling in the 150's anytime soon. People will simply stop buying the new cars. TDF prices have dropped a lot lately. It is happening in both the high and low end F cars. On top of that, there is a decent chance of a sustained global depression, with rolling bankruptcies across multiple industries. Which means half of the January 2020 Ferrari buyer pool gets decimated, and never comes back. Permanent production cuts are definitely happening. Maranello will hide beyond the word "termporary" for a while, but the production targets from a few months ago are a pipe dream.
I completely understand, although it's freaking hilarious having someone post on a car enthusiast forum with no car least of all aspirations beyond a self drive EV vehicle. I just think if he got booted off you guys would probably miss him after a while. He's like the George in Seinfeld. Every circus needs an annoying clown iykwim.
If I were you I would've played around with the exhaust system. The Kline or Novi along with a valve controller would've sorted your issue out - damn sure of it. It's just far too good a car to eject without at least making some attempt at resolving any issues.
Might be cheaper just to lease a new one. On the McLaren forum, someone detailed their recent deal. 24 month lease, 5000 miles year, 24% off, 71% residual, .00145 MF. I ran the numbers, with $16000 cap reduction, the payment is $998/mon plus fees and taxes. So basically sub-$50,000 for 10,000 mile and 2 years in a brand new $400,000 720 spider.
But how low can they really go, I just can't see £100k for an f8 after 4 years if they get that cheap ill double down and by another
I'm not convinced the economy will get that bad from this, yes it's going to be chopy for a while but, I don't see this huge global depression some are talking of, time will tell of course and hopefully for all of us I'm not being over optimistic
You have to take the pandemic effect out of the pricing prediction because it will be relatively temporary and impact all cars. There is no reason why the F8 and 488 won't wind up at the price point of the 458. Same models just newer versions. In all likelihood the Pista should wind up the same way as the Speciale relative to the pricing of the base cars give or take. Pista and Speciale both not LE and both sort of the last of a particular type. Its that simple. Hard to accept that your new expensive car is suddenly worth less but who cares really. Its still the same car you lusted for and you still own it. Nothing has changed. Maybe your Pista is worried your not as worthy or valuable an owner as you were when your ordered it.
