Only Ferrari could get away with painting different stripes on an existing model and charge a premium equivalent to a Porsche GT3. And due to its " exclusivity", purchasers will not drive it in the hopes that 10 years from now it will appreciate in value. Not for me.

Have you seen the Porsche Targa Heritage Edition? Every manufacturer does this.

Other manufacturers attempt it, but are rarely successful in attracting buyers at significantly elevated prices.

Isn't the cliche for every high-end brand car brand something like this:

Introducing our limited edition (___________) GTsuperUltraLTsuperX where only (_____) will be produced and all are already sold out.

Exactly. Pilota is just a very expensive bad stripe arrangement and I wouldn't want one for that reason alone. It's not as if it goes any better than the regular Pista.

The Piloti stripe arrangement is more aerodynamic and makes the car go faster.:D

Long Island Ferrari had a 1xx mile Pista in red launch spec for sale recently. I think it was $460k ask and is no longer available so presumably sold. The non-red cars have higher ask prices ($470k and $499k) and still available. Not many red launch spec available...that was the only 1 for sale out of a few dozen Pistas nationally this week. What is approximate MSRP on something like that?

Most are selling for MSRP depending on spec. The market ticked back up recently.

Saw a unique spec here (and an F8 in black, super nice). Market seems to be down to sideways.

except you raced at Le Mans by yourself and got the Piloti in the (almost) same paint scheme as your Le Mans 488 GTE Racer ;) and yes thats my very own love story with both cars :D I'm personally very happy that Ferrari created the Piloti (and its just half the price of the GTE!!) :D

Time for an update to the thread. Pistas are most definitely not selling for under msrp.

I bought my Pista in December, and I paid $5k over MSRP of $470k. Car had 20 miles on it. My buddy owns a dealership in Austin and has sold multiples and bought one himself as well. The really low MSRP cars seem to sell for $20-$30,000 over sticker, the $460,000-$480,000 cars seem to sell for close to sticker, and the really high sticker cars over $500,000 seem to sell for a few dollars back of sticker.

In Canada, prices of Pista have remained steady since its introduction. Not higher or lower. Small market . Less than 10 currently on sale which is the number from day 1.

The last of all ICE super cars have been increasing in price over the last 6 months and showing no sign of relenting. Performantes are scarce and selling at or above MSRP, 720S , while plentiful have bounced up in price, similar story for Aventadors. Pistas should remain steady and likely increase in value. Used F8 are being offered at MSRP.

Pretty much everything is up, its not unique to Ferrari's or any particular model. Even my 2 1/2 year old Raptor sold above list.

Everyone needs to relax on values right now, this market is an anomaly. It may last a bit longer, it may not. Same goes for boats, watches, homes, etc.

This is very true but I’m looking at not only pricing but inventory. Inventory on Autotrader went from 65 or so to 37 in the last few months. This is coupes mostly (30 or so) and the rest spiders.
