Goose hunting! THAT I can tell is you is some serious fun!

Those things are huge, they fly by very quickly and they fly between 500 and 1000 feet up. I have only hunted them once. We used very long barrelled 10 guage shotguns. It was pretty dang hard! You really had to lead them a great deal. Selecting a target, tracking it, getting off a shot and a hit had to happen very quickly. Not only that, but often it seemed a single shot would not bring them down and you had to be prepared to get off several at the same bird.

It was great fun. I only got one, but the other 4 guys got a couple each. We fried a whole bird like you would a turkey that evening and it was pretty good. The rest were given away to friends of the folks we were staying with.

Bird hunting is lots of fun. I never enjoyed deer hunting or animal hunting at all (exception being squirrels). I found it most boring. But bird hunting is very different. Faster paced and fun.
